This was amazing! Such a creative goal of a game and the controls were pretty intuitive for handling the complex task. I love the audio and art too! Only thing I wish is that if I held 1, 2 and 3 and the same time, right/left clicking should change the intensity of all lights at once. Would make for cinematic endings where all lights can be dimmed simultaneously!
The idea is very original. I loved the core mechanic of the game. The art style is very well done and the music make you feel like you’re at the circus! Well done guys :)
Found this game from your stream!
First off, incredibly creative idea. The presentation of it was unbelievable. It’s actually crazy to think this is from a game jam. I don’t think I’ve ever heard good voice acting like this in a game jam which already blows my mind, but the aesthetic is GREAT and the controls are super cool. There’s something really simple but great about seeing the spotlights against the little cardboard cutouts on the stage that is so simple, so quick to understand, but just looks great.
10/10 on polish alone, great work!
fun little experience! it was a little confusing how the scoring worked and the hand cursor was a little fiddly, but very charming presentation and idea :)
Wow, this was a really awesome experience! You really made me feel in control of the show with a mixture of the visuals and sound, like idk how to put it other than I was super immersed. The controls were pretty easy to pick up and use too. The only thing I would say is like, it never felt like I was in danger of losing or something, which eventually made the game's tension of "trying to do everything right" go away a little. But overall, phenomenal entry, this is easily one of the best games in terms of atmosphere I've seen in the jam.
Wow! Super creative and unique gameplay. I used to do stage tech in high school where I sometimes operated the spotlights so this game was extra fun for me. I adore the cardboard art style. The music and voice over was awesome. It was a little hard to tell when to get the timing right for the sound effects, I was getting a lot of boos lol. Really impressive and polished game. Terrific job!
What an amazingly creative game. The art is absolutely stunning, especially for a 4-day jam. We went for a similar art style, so it is super impressive how polished you managed to make the whole game. I really love the amount of features you managed to add to the game, and I love the soundboards especially. My only nitpick is that I wish there were more of a difficulty curve/ways to mess up with harsher penalties. But for a jam game, this is super impressive. Great work :)
A very creative take on the theme! sadly, some of the buttons/ lights didn't seem to show up for me, although that may be a browser issue. The VO was top notch!
This was such a fun and original idea! I loved the circus theme, and the art, music, and voice acting all felt surprisingly polished. The mechanics were easy to pick up too. Great job!
Your game is sick, I love it !!!
Well polished game in 4 days, I got a glitch using Firefox browser, but I saw the comments and switched to another one. I can play it normally
Hey, thanks again for playing Dawnfall on stream, watching someone go in cold was really useful, so I owed you a proper go at yours :)
The art got me first, those cardboard cutouts look weirdly real, like someone actually built the set and took a photo of it. And it teaches itself as you go, I never had to stop and work anything out, I just kept up with the show.
Best bit for me was noticing my own muscle memory kick in. Partway through I was hitting all 4 lights without thinking about where they were, and that’s when the lighting guy thing really clicked, you’re not the one on stage, you’re the one making the show work.
One thing I wasn’t sure about, once I had the 4 spotlights with the biggest light I could just put all 4 out on the stage and kind of coast from there. Could easily be that I wasn’t playing it right, but if not, difficulty tiers might be a fun option for the post jam version, something that keeps making you move the lights around instead of parking them.

Also had my hand end up above the sound board at one point and had to restart, looks like a couple of other people ran into that one too.

What was the most difficult part in making the game?
The art and sound design was excellent, definitely among the best looking games I've played this jam! As for the gameplay, I definitely like the concept and the basic gameplay loop of tracking performers with the spotlight works very well. However I got quite confused when I tried to incorporate the more advanced abilities. The basic descriptions of how to use them wasn't really enough to make it super clear and as far as I can tell you can't read the descriptions again after buying them? I think it would help to get a proper mini-tutorial for each one and to be able to go back to it at will to remind yourself of how the ability works.
The way you control the spotlights felt a bit finicky once you had more than one, are you meant to only be able to move one at a time? It becomes difficult to track more than one performer at once even with multiple spotlights if you can't move them simultaneously in some way. I also didn't realize that you lose money on electricity by keeping them on, as that's not made clear within the game itself.
All in all, a very professional-looking game, great presenation and atmosphere, and I think gameplay is good at its core but unfortunately a bit confusing. Great job!
Super polished for a 4 day game jam! The moment I heard the voice acting, I was instantly amazed at the quality. Love the art style, super cute, and the mechanics were quite easy for me to understand and pick up which was great!
Rain into this glitch

NotAllowedError: Element.requestPointerLock() was not called from inside a short running user-generated event handler, and the document is not in full screen.
And game just displayed a black screen as a result :(This is incredibly well made for a 4-day jam game! Great work to the dev team!
I really enjoyed the aesthetic and was a BIG FAN of the voice lines. After days of playing jam games, it was such a nice reprieve to have the instructions essentially read aloud to me hahaha. That made it very easy to grasp the concept. The controls were also really intuitive and the game was fun!
My only gripe (and I'm not sure if this is just me or if I've done something wrong), but when I purchased more spotlights, there was no actual spotlight texture on them? See the floating number 2 with no spotlight below.

Aside from that, I'm a big fan of this entry and I'm gonna add it to my GMTK 2026 favourites :)
Hello! Thanks for playing! Is it possible the instructions weren't clear? Have you tried holding 2 and holding the left mouse button at the same time to turn on the light? And you can do the same to turn it off, turn it off by holding the number of the spot and holding the right mouse button!
Would you mind trying again? Otherwise it's a glitch no one has reported before and we would have to investigate that ;)
So glad you enjoyed it this much!
Yeahhhhhh that's on us! Subtitles are on the menu, but time got the better of us! They are needed because the scottisch accent is cool, but not always great to understand. We had 15+ voicelines recorded to play after you bought stuff and inbetween acts to explain the game more too, like the inner details. But mark my word, there will be a post jam release (and maybe steam?? :p ), so you'll get a better experience soon!
