With some powerups or something like that, this game would really shine :D

The game is super fun, I managed to get really far. You get time back whenever you kill an enemy, so the gameplay flows really well. I also think the game looks great!

This is a very good base for a game. I think the idea is solid, the game looks good and very well animated. The mechanics do need some rebalancing fixes. Right now its too easy to just spam attack and parry, you'll be invincible.

Such a clean combo system, with the fact that parrying breaks the combo and is linked to difficulty. Really enjoyed this one, keep it up!

Wow the animations in this are amazing! You have a very good base for a game, definitely expand this after the jam! Played this on stream here: https://www.twitch.tv/nebsterlive

Really cool execution and the gameplay well. Very very clean and satisfying to play. <3

i like it

made it to about 400k points! It felt sometimes like I could just shoot and shoot and shoot and be fine forever—maybe the game needs some kind of reloading mechanic? It was just a more reliable option than countering, which is a little bit of a shame because the counter animations are super cool. Good job with those, and with making the gun feel nice and crunchy.

cute game, the animations are really well done!

Played at https://twitch.tv/hedge_in @ 3:20:15. YOOOOO LOVED THE COUNTER SYSTEM, giving batman/spiderman vibes!!

This was a really nice game mechanically. The gameplay was great and super enjoyable once I got it down correctly.

The animations and the combos are the highlight imo. The gameplay could probably be improved on, I encountered a bug where my character was stuck and could not attack or move. The counter works really nice and it reminds me of Arkham games or the first spiderman. Though the attack is a bit weird as I do not know how exactly to hit an enemy, at times the player just fires into the wall for some reason - So that could be worked on.

Apart from that it is a really solid entry for the jam and the combat is really well done for it.

The animation and the audio design of this game is off the chart! The game play is very smooth as well. Congrats for submitting such a great entry.

This level of combat for a jam like this is genuinely impressive. Spamming the attack button with the mouse controls isn't really intuitive, but I really like how the counter attack complemented the flurry. Also really insane animations, first time my character jumped on an enemy to leg-lock them really made my jaw drop.

Very cool atmosphere and vibe for the game. The art style, audio, and UI are all very consistent. The UI explains the basic controls well.

I like the counter system. It's reminiscent of those action games like the earlier Assassin's Creed and sleeping dogs. The counter animation is very smooth and satisfying to pull off. But a little visual indicator even if no enemy was attacking you would be nice. For now if you just press counter on your own, nothing really happens. Also the fact that the counter is so powerful I don't really need to attack at all. Speaking of attack, it is a bit hard to aim on keyboard and mouse.

Finally, the foregrounds and environment looks good but with a fixed camera angle you will want to avoid blocking the vision of your player this much. It's not always easy to leave the area too when you are surrounded. (see screenshot below)

Other than that, very replayable and well polished action game. Great job!

This is a great gameplay demo-style jam entry. You have great awareness of what the camera should be doing, and I think you used the low-poly assets to great effect.

I see the game's potential, and combo animations are nice! Though the character was constantly shooting forward, not left/right, so I was missing lots of my shots. And it would be nice to have some ways to avoid being stun-locked by enemies or break it once in a while.

Thank you for playing <3

I updated the description (I really was too tired after the jam to bother with the page), but to avoid being stunlocked you are supposed to use counter attacks (RMB when there's an exclamation mark above enemy head)

When I first booted this I certainly wasn't expecting to do 50x combos ^^

The idea looks fun and I like the character's vibe, but I can't get the controls to work reliably
