Just finished playing the game...
Is game clear in what you are supposed to do?
For me, yes, it's very clear! Though something I'd recommend to add would be maybe a button that shows you the info box again for what you're supposed to do, so that if players miss information or are confused, they can look back at that!
Does interacting with game feel fun?
At the moment, yes, but with some additional polish and detail (Example, the cats playing an animation when you give them attention), then it would be perfect!
Do automation upgrades feel rewarding?
Very rewarding, yes! This feels like it was done just right!
Are any gameplay elements unclear?
The first time around, it was a tad bit unclear, but upon trying it again, it makes much more sense what to do.
Overall, it's a very cozy and cute cat game, and I look forward to seeing the game at it's full potential!
I wish you good luck with your journey!
Thank you so much for your feedback, glad you enjoyed it!
This is a cute idle/clicker game. This is not usually my style but I enjoy your game. I like getting to pet the kitties.
The different cat personalities are fun. Snow likes hanging out in front of the counter which sometimes ment they pushed the customers around there.
Sometimes I would click on a person or cat but not trigger the interaction. I had it more with the people than the cats. I would need to click multiple times in different spots before it would register.
Is game clear in what you are supposed to do?
Yes. The tutorial was clear and it told me what to do.
Does interacting with game feel fun?
Yes. The cat SFX sounds good. I like petting and watching the cats. You have good cat artwork.
Do automation upgrades feel rewarding?
Yes. They feel rewarding and there is still incentive to click on the cats and customers. Once you have them you can leave the game running and still get happy cats without needing to click on them. And every so often come back and interact with the cats and customers.
Are any gameplay elements unclear?
The descriptions for the automation upgrades made me think that the cat toy would randomly activate.
The stats screen looks good. It is a nice place to see all the upgrade levels all in one spot. I noticed that it was a level behind after writing this review. Since the upgrades start at level 1 on the upgrades screen, and level 0 here I am wondering if it is number of times upgraded not upgrade level. I think that the two numbers should be the same.
I also like that it lets you see the adopted cats and their personalities again. I left it up while writing this review (time played is at 23ish minutes) and got to a cafe level of 37, and over 73K income earned.
I wish that the upgrade stayed selected, so that I could upgrade it multiple times in a row.
I am looking forward to seeing where you take this. New cafe sounds cool, and I want to pet all the kitties.

I'm glad you enjoyed playing and thank you for your feedback. I will take all of this into consideration in the next update.
While my experience with idle game is somewhat limited I did try a few of them.
A few things grabbed my attention before going into the requested feedback:
- Artstyle, the UI and game have different art styles. While the difference is not that big, it is something that is quite easily observed when you first paly the game. I got used to it after a while.
- This felt a bit less like a idle game (clicker game) and more leaning towards a tycoon game (i guess you can consider that a idle game as well =), but the mechanics usually differ )
- Conflicting gameplay, when you start the game it feels like a chill relaxing game (morning coffee kind of vibes), but as the game progresses it becomes more and more action like.
My recommendations would be to try to make the UI and game art feel consistent, either by turning the UI into pixel art or by changing the game art to match the smooth art that the UI has.
Try separating the 2 types of gameplay, the more relaxing parts from the more action/chaotic parts. One way I can think of changing that is to, have 2 game states, one for prep time where you prepare the cafe shop (relax, upgrade, feed the cats) and one for serving customers/taking care of the cats.
Requested Feedback:
Is game clear in what you are supposed to do?
Yes. The tutorial is pretty straight forward. The implicit narrative of you taking care of the cat cafe shop is also pretty good.
There is one thing that was not that clear and that is what is my end goal. The why am I doing this and where am I going are not exactly clear.
Found out in the end that I have to buy/adopt all the cats. Mby there was some text informing me about this and I simply didn't read it.
Does interacting with game feel fun?
The game feels relaxing at the beginning and then slowly start to feel more tense. I finished the game quite fast so I can't really say I got to the point I felt like I was having fun. I did enjoy it.
Do automation upgrades feel rewarding?
Not really. It seemed like I can get more money by buying upgrades. Since there is no change in the world after you buy them I can not say that I feelt that anything changed.
Some tycoon games have a degree of customization/decoration to them usually such that when you buy something you actually feel like you made progress. Similar to getting more cats, with is nice. It would be nice if something like that that would happen for the rest of the upgrades as well.
Are any gameplay elements unclear?
What I already mentioned I guess.
I didn't understood what is the difference of buying one upgrade over another and what is the purpose of upgrading them beside getting more money.
As it is now the game is quite nice and I enjoyed playing it. I would love to see how the development progresses from here.
Good luck!
Thank you for all of your feedback. I'll look into changing what I can in coming updates, I appreciate your time.
I thought I could play on mobile...
Looked good, I will definitely play again later.
I will test and work on the aspect ratio for mobile, thank you for checking it out.
It looked perfectly fine on mobile, but couldn't do anything after using all money. I am assuming that it needs wasd or Arrow Keys.
Nope, they are no key inputs as of right now. After adopting a cat and clicking it a few times it will level up and then a customer will come into the cafe. Once customers are in the cafe you start earning money. Not sure if it was a bug on mobile or if the tutorial wasn't clear.
I figured it out on mobile. It was a tutorial issue.
Sounds good, I will look into adjusting the tutorial
There is so much to love about this update. I think the different cat personalities are my favorite part. I feel like their personalities are shown better now, and make a bigger difference in game. The little animations for the buttons are also a nice touch, particularly for drawing the eye when there is something new in them. And the Overall and Cafe stats screens are a great addition. I like being able to see my cats' info again, and seeing the other numbers and information are also cool.
On the Cafe Stats screen, the levels of my Upgrades is one level lower than the current level listed on the Upgrades screen. I can see a certain logic to it, the Cafe Stats screen showing the number of times you upgraded something while the upgrade page shows its current level, but it's not super clear to the player.
The Barista has a max level of 30, while the Cat Toy doesn't seem to have a max level. (I got my Cat Toy to level 101 and it looked like I could keep upgrading it beyond that.) Since both the Barista and the Cat Toy provide autoclicking, and at a high enough level there is no delay, it feels a little odd that the Barista has a max level while the Cat Toy doesn't seem to.
My two friendly cats spent most of their time on the right side of the counter, looking like they were running. Your devlog mentions that the friendly cats will sit near customers, so I'm wondering if they were trying to get over to sit by the barista. The rest of my cats did a lot more wandering around and sitting at various points around the cafe. Sometimes a cat would look like they got stuck on a corner, showing the run animation without moving, though they usually got free fairly quickly.
I noticed that I regularly want to click on the icon above the customers' heads instead of their main body, and more often than not clicked the icon before recalling that it didn't work. I don't know if you want to increase the size of the hitbox to include the icon or not, but it might be a nice touch. Interestingly, I didn't have the same feeling with the cats themselves, and pretty much always clicked on the cat instead of trying to click on the icon first.
I'm a little torn on my feeling about the automation. From an idle game POV, I think they are important to have. It makes much easier to have the game in the background, looking at it from time to time, and letting the numbers go up on their own. I could see myself putting this on my side monitor while I'm working on my main, and playing a little bit when I need a short break. But I also oddly enjoyed clicking on the cats themselves. Something I think could be cool would be giving the cats a little animation or maybe a couple of different SFXs when you click on them, even if they are not asking for attention. I don't think it's needed to enjoy the game, but I think it would added a little extra fun, particularly for later gameplay.
Overall, I rather enjoyed playing this. I found the game clear and easy to get into, and nothing stood out as confusing or unclear. It was fun watching the cats run around and play, and I enjoyed hearing them meow when their comfort level increased. I'm looking forward to seeing what you have planed for the additional cafes.
I'm really glad you enjoyed the update! In the next update for sure the bugs with cat toys not having a max level and cats getting stuck on tables/counters will be fixed. I will also work on the cafe stats and upgrade levels not lining up. I'll also look at either changing the hitbox or addressing the customer icons being more clickable.
The automation upgrades still need to be balanced. I do think when more cafes are added it will be important to allow cafes to have automation so that focus can be switched to the new cafe. There are also plans to have upgrades that will be more focused on interacting/bonding with the cats outside of the clicking timer.
I appreciate all of your feeback and I will look at implementing these changes in coming updates.
I find that it is very intuitive from the start, although if you can achieve the same tutorial with less text, that usually makes it feel better. I found the game fun (definitely not biased because I like cats). I did find the hitboxes on the customers to be small, but it might just be me. The automation upgrades felt a bit slow, maybe speeding them up a bit would help with that.
idk why it posted like three of these lol
Thank you for the feedback, I will look into the hitboxes and speed of unlocking automation.
I like this game, and enjoy petting the kitties. Overall I don't have a huge amount of notes, but I do have some for the spots you requested feedback on:
Is game clear in what you are supposed to do:
Yes, overall the UI and interactions make sense, and the tutorial clears most confusion.
Does interacting with game feel fun:
Early on, yes, though it does get to a point where it starts feeling a bit dull and repetitious.
Do automation upgrades feel rewarding:
Yes, they do, though, in my opinion, it takes a little long to get it up to a level where the automation takes a short enough amount of time to really matter, as even at level 10 it still took 10-20 sometimes 30 seconds for interactions to happen.
Are any gameplay elements unclear:
No, not really, things made sense from the start, and there are not a lot of gameplay elements so it is easier to make them feel good together.

Thank you for your feedback, I'm still tweaking things so I will look into adjusting the automation.
With having very minimal experience on idler/clicker game, It's very clear on what to do as you boot the game. The game has this cute and cozy atmosphere to it. It is relaxing at the first few minutes. Once there are more than 3 cats, it cafe really feels chaotic. The game really lives up to its title! And good job on eliciting this cute and chaotic feelings.
Interacting with the game is fun! Clicking on cats and customers feel satisfying.
The upgrades is unclear (apply to all the upgrades: furniture, baristas, cat food, etc). I don't feel there is any changes at all. I still do the upgrade once money is enough though, it just feel right to spend the resource we have earned on something. But it would benefit having clear indications (both visual and functional) on each upgrade.
I don't feel there's any automation going on even after upgrading, nor is there a need for it. Perhaps there should be a clear visual cue to when the automation is working.
I was reading through your devlogs and it looks like the game has only been worked for a couple months at most.
This is a great progress for such short time! Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for your feedback! I'm thinking that upgrades need to be more clear on the in game effects, I do explain in the upgrade info the effect but it is buried with the other info. I will look into tweaking some things and adjusting them.
Great progress from the last patch!
I really got hooked into the loop this time and started enjoying watching the numbers go up.
This is a sign that it is working.
The barista moves around, so that is cool. You have fixed many bugs and I can see all the effort you’ve put in.
Looking forward to the next patches, especially the new cafe!
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it
I think the tutorial popups are good. They convey enough info to guide the player, without being too much. The game is pretty intuitive, so it doesn't need much guidance.
The game is cute. I'm not big on idle/clicker games, really only having started to play them in jams, so my experience is somewhat limited. For the style it does feel like a good base, to me. The changes you've been making are making it feel more complete and enjoyable. I like the upgrades, it adds more to do and lets you keep unlocking things after adopting all the cats. The automation upgrades feel like an important addition. Since I I don't play a lot of this style I may be wrong, but it does seem like automation upgrades are a staple of the genre. I like the progress bars showing how long until the automation will complete.
I do think that it would be nice if after upgrading it would stay on the upgrade so that I can keep pressing the upgrade button. If letting they game go for a while and building up a bunch of cash I will often upgrade the same thing many times in a row, so not needing to go reselect the upgrade each time would be preferred. I know there was an issue before with free upgrades and deselecting was likely part of the fix, but staying selected and updating the info feels like it would work better.
With the automation it is far easier to simply leave the game up in the background, on a side monitor, or even in the corner of your screen as you work on other things. While I don't do it, I have seen that some people like to have companion apps open while they work. Having the cafe off to the side with the cats running around can work well for that kind of companionship app. I'm not sure if it would be worth it, or how much effort it would take, but something you may want to consider is having a mode where much of the UI is hidden and the view is reduced for that kind of sitting in a small window off to the side to watch the cats and customers. I wouldn't focus on this now, but just think about it for the future as a possibility depending on how the game grows.
The stats screen is another great addition. It is nice to be able to see the big total numbers for everything. The stats could use with some number formatting, such as thousands separators and 2 digits for cents. The money on the main UI could use it as well. While writing this out I left the game going and have made it up to Cafe Level 78, earning $350k.
I think the planned future addition of adding multiple cafes will be a nice growth of what you already have.
This was a nice upgrade. Everything feels better.
Thank you so much for your feedback! I like a lot of your suggestions and will look into adding them. Adding the automation was also a big part of making it officially an idle game. Do you feel like that upgrade (or any of the upgrades) unlock to late or in an awkward spot? Does the game have good pacing?
None of the upgrades felt awkward. The costs maybe could use some adjusting as it did feel like they went up by less than the gain I was getting and it did not take long to get enough money to buy multiple, so maybe increasing them to have more time before upgrades could work. At the same time, it did not feel too extreme, and doesn't need to be changed.
sounds good, thank you for your feedback again
