Honestly the game is solid, the art is nice, the music is nice, there is a lot of potential with the concept.
General:
Strategy (more indepth review):
I did check and test on what the description said along with the gameplay and here are my observations
With that in preparation... comes the statements.
Or any other ideas you guys may think of, its just one of many after all.
Anyway, yeah I like the game kek. Thank you for submitting to the game jam!
i just spamming block and it let me through and through. Nice polish. Nice art. Very profesional.
Top notch polish for a game jam, nice job. All around solid experience!
Found a thing! :oo
Good job! I would have like some difficulty scaling though, as i could just spam blocks and get to the next level
The visuals and music are excellent.
Cute and addictive!
Awesome polish! Thank you. I really like how the music reacts to the gameplay.
One suggestion from me - I don't understand what those colorful tiles are for... I don't think I saw it explained somewhere in the game. At first I thought those were the only places where I could place the pieces.
The automatic placement of the tiles make it a bit too easy - at later stages I was just clicking wherever there is free space. That reduced the logical part of the puzzle. Maybe it can be implemented as a power up? Like a temporary boost?
Good luck!
Thanks for playing ! We did not have enough time to include a tutorial in game, so in the desc it’s listed what the colored tiles do!
Wow! Great job y’all! super cute, really fun, and amazingly polished!
The art is good but one, i don't understand how this relates to the theme at all, despite your explanation. Also it's basically just a spamming game since you can just click fast and you don't have time to think about placement anyway
the mouth of the dog is akin to a black hole.
i kinda get it but it feels far from an actual singularity
singularity bascially means so dense soemthing collapses , we tried to implement it by filling the mouth so much to the bar, it gets dense enough and then eats it all at once “collapse” it’s def a bit looser take on the theme, because I didn’t want to use the standard black hole!
alright fair enough
also, i would say in the earlier Levels you can spam, but in later levels you def cant, because the amount of space needed goes up, so if you just spam without thinking, you wont beat the high score !(leaderboard will work eventually 🥲)
The art and execution is flawless although after a few rounds the game turns into a incremental clicker due to time constraint(I think more time will be helpful so the player can think about placing the block in an efficient places)

Great art + I always love block games!
the game is good but was a bit lost at the start on what the objective really was until I read the itch page.
solid work!
I wasn’t exactly sure what the difference between purple and yellow zones where and was kinda just placing tiles randomly and just avoiding the red zone, and if the empty zones filling up with more squares where a good thing or not, but I had a nice time nonetheless. The ‘next piece’ seems to be broken though, it only show be a 2x2 no matter what. And the artstyle is really neat!
