The concept is very cool but i feel their is something to do about making it clearer. At this point i feel i am just trying random pose hoping they work and i am not even sure to understand when or how enemies take damage (they seem bruised sometimes, but i seem to have them go away eventually anyways?) like i really like the pitch, the rythm game approach and the angle chosen to tackle the theme but i feel the game would benefit from communicating more efficiently.

Thank you! Yeah I don't think I mention proper that you have to survive till the hour is over and that you pretty much just build up stun to give yourself room to breathe (I think the tutorial vaguely mentions the surviving and stunning). One thing I've gathered from this jam is to improve the game tutorial significantly! Need to feed all the information proper!

Was quite hard to get the points but alright afterwords, I love the music but I wish the UI had SFX, I like the art a lot. the fact that the visuals indicate the enemy type reminds me a lot of in stars and time, great game!

Developer

Thank you! yeah Ui ain't my strong suit, actually there were plans on adding animations for the Ui but I had to cut it to save me more time to finish what was needed. Sacrifices had to be made!  I really should be  checking out ''Stars and time'' been recommended the game before!

Good game! It’s a bit difficult to understand at first, but once you get it, it becomes really fun (I figured it out in the β€œHow to Play” section). I really liked the art style, especially the silhouettes and poses.

Developer

Thank you! Glad ye enjoyed the game! Yeah, the ''how to play'' section seems to been the biggest hit and miss when people played, which might've made it rough for people to play!

Great game! I love the concept! It was really confusing initially like others have said, but once I got the hang of it the game was really fun. I also really loved the music, especially the start, you did great on that!  The art was also incredible and each hour felt really unique but also fit the vibe perfectly. A little interactive tutorial at the start is the only thing the game is missing, otherwise it's amazing!

Developer

Thank you! Yeah I really wished that I made something interactive for people to try things out before fighting the other dreams, I'll definitely bring that with me the next jam!

Gotta say, I still don't really know if I did well or not. I like the idea, and the outcome, but I gotta agree with some of the critique in the comment section. Overall, well done!

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad that people point this out, I need to improve that onboarding proccess!

Very interesting take on the theme and the gameplay loop of rock paper scissors.  I have to agree with some of the other comments that the mechanics were pretty confusing. Ironically, the last fight was the easiest to figure out, except I never knew what to do for the giant laser one. A little bit of on boarding and maybe some like dumb easy bosses in the beginning to demonstrate would have helped a lot. It was still a really cool game though! I enjoyed it and finished it :) I like the art style and all of the different enemies. Well done! Thanks for making and sharing it :)

Developer

Thank you! It's kinda funny how I was worried about the two last fights might've been a little too mean and nerfed them by making them too predictable!
That laser is was originally going to be a counter that'd be able to beat everything except for your neutral pose, but that stuff had to be cut and well since I didn't have a neutral idle pose for the last dream at the time, I just sort of kept it like that. (Had to cut the whole pose deck building too, a bunch of cuts to save me some time)

another brain scratcher game, I like it.

Developer

Hope it didn't scratch yer brain too much! Thank you!

Pretty neat game, especially the art. Ironically though the last two bosses were the easiest for me to figure out, but that aside, really cool concept

Developer

Thank you! yeah the two last fights are more predictable once you figure out what they do, they don't have that randomness which the other previous fights do.

omg the art πŸ˜πŸ˜

Developer

All Drawn with a bootleg computer mouse! the classiest of the arts! Thank you!

I don’t really understand how to play, but I really like the art.

Developer

Yeah , I definitely could've worked on being more clear and give the player a small tutorial fight to reel them in.
It's basically glorified rock paper and scissors.
Thank you for the feedback!

Ngl the game is fun as heck! Nothing to complain about except for the fact I was a lil lost at the beggining lol, probably just a skill issue on my part tho, Keep it up bro!πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘Œ

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I don't do a great job showing the ropes! don't think it's it's a skill issue on your part!
Glad you liked the game!

Impressive art and sound, but gameplay was a bit unintuitive to learn. Still, an enjoyable experience!

Developer

I really have to work on my onboarding abilities! Thank you for the feedback man!

Great game! A little hard, but challenging games are fun so that's okay, It's also impressive that you made your own music for this game!

Developer

Thank you! it be the game designers curse when you get too used to your own game!
I'm still not very used to making music, another skill I really want improve!
