Actually quite fun! The different gameplay styles really make it enjoyable throughout!

this is my game “8 hours” https://robinheij89.itch.io/8-hours hope you like it as much i liked making it

Amazing work and beautiful artstyle. Puzzle design is great!

"What are you doing up here?" I thought I beat you at your own game, but you already knew someone was gonna do this. I love this entry and In assembly!? absolutely unhiged haha

Okay that dragon is awesome! The lair upgrades got me way more than I expected. I kept going just to see what would show up next.

Only thing is I did end up mashing all three keys, which I'm sure you've haerd already. Didn't ruin it for me though. Lovely work!

I'll skip the art praise since everyone's covered it (deservedly).

The thing I kept bumping into: I'm on a skateboard, but I control like a platformer. If you ever take this further: make tricks feed speed instead of score.

Also, second-ever Godot project is wild (read it in a comment). The polish level here is peak.

Thank you! This was exactly the feeling I wanted to go for.

Thanks for the feedback! I understand your feedback, but I choose to do it like this. My rationale was: at night, if I pee around 2AM, give my child a pacifier at 4AM and smack a moquito at 6AM, I have a great sleep. But if those things occur 04:00, 04:04 and 04:12. it's actually a hit or miss when trying to sleep again.
It adds a bit of chaos, which I like for this game.

Thanks for the feedback, yeah I was considering a background music, but since I used sounds from other people (see credits) I didn't. The music wouldve set the mood for the entire game (more then the sounds I figured), and thats why I wanted to either make the music myself, or not use it at all. If I had an extra day, I would've.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I shouldve mention it in the how to secition maybe. Or i shouldve had a tutorial

Thank you! I actually am really proud. I tend to never finish a game, so attending a game jam is really rewarding. Your feedback is really nice, and thank you for explicitly mentioning those aspects of the game, the SFX wasn't made by me, but I did want everything to have a unique sound. Every sense is important while gaming. I was actually planning on supporting haptic feedback ona  controller, but it's a game jam, gotta prioritize ;p.

I must have missed  that! I added new features after I built the how to section. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks! Nice to hear that you liked it so much. A great compliment on a game jam game is that someone plays it for longer than a few minutes, so thanks!

Thank you! I am not a pixel art artist by trade, so it was a bit out of my comfort zone. I don't actually know what the max score is that you could get, but I had some flawless runs and got around that score as well, so I'd say it's really good!

Thanks! Yeah i was wondering if I could, what other things could annoy you while sleeping?

haha, well, even if you kill one, another one tends to pop up. Thanks for the feedback!

no worries haha, indeed enjoyed it!

Nice entry! Tried a few times, unfortunately my best run was ended by 2 cars on either side and a ghjostdriver in the middle :(

This is incredible! It 's so carefully constructed, everything seems to fit very well together

Great submission! At first I want like, this is so basic, but then the elements together clicked and it became a quite fun puzzle, had to restart a few times. And I love the facts that you sometimes needed to become a bit more aware before you could do something, required my brain to work a bit

the balancing a bit is more or less me asking as a player to be rewarded for good work. The diagonal moving platform was a bit hard and i just didnt get a dopamine rush after it.

This started quite overwhelming, but after a while i got the hang of it. Love the style! And to be honest, I thought this style wouldnt work with just 2 colors but it does :)

Our games are so similar! I got the same idea, but then for 8 hours of sleep instead of snoozing haha

I liked evetything, I would even say some are visually better done than in my game (we both have the lights on and the clock as 'annoyances'). I did find it a bit frustrating that your wake up progress bar already showed a change before the light was on visually for instance.. Other than that, what a great idea to interpret the theme like this. ;)

I gotta admit that I am on board with keymaster001. I did get past the diagonal moving element, but it was hard for me to understand how. After multiple effort I got past it and there nothing interesting there.
I think there is potential in this game, but an improvement would be to balance it a bit, and have tiny bits of rewards. That could be items, that could be pretty art.

But, we also gotta take in account this is a gamejam and you build this in a short period, so my rating reflects that

Nice way of showing the HP, Timing was very important but I was pretty bad at it haha

Liked it, the saound is addicting!

Hi, just before i rate your game. It seems I got the same ending three times in a row, which is that Bianca falls asleep. Am I doing something wrong? (i also got the bug of the main menu triggering without me clicking on it)

I got stuck fairly quickly, and I was looking for feedback on why. The pillow mechanic is a fun one, if it works haha. But to be fair, the idea is fun, maybe in 3D was a bridge too far and a 2d side scroller with these mechanics wouldve worked better.
Fun experience until I got stuck though!

Nice game indeed! I dod need to pull out my mouse since I was trying it on a trackpad. But hey, its a gamejam. The movement was a bit slow, so I waiting for a fair bit, but the experience was still good!

The game would definitely benefit from being a bit faster. Skippable to the end dialogues and running left and right., make it fast pace and its great!

Gotta say, I still don't really know if I did well or not. I like the idea, and the outcome, but I gotta agree with some of the critique in the comment section. Overall, well done!

What did I just do? I hope dogs have more pleasant dreams to be honest! I did like the aesthetic. Each realm with a different color-set really helps :)

Holy moly, this is great! Difficult but engaging!

Now I get it!, thank you. Played again and liked it! Actually great you give these subjects attention. As a neurodivergent dad of two little girls, these topics hit home. Serious games are great to let others feel the struggles some people feel. For a game built in 10 days, you've actually let me feel the topics you portray

What a fun game!

Am I doing something wrong? I went to the bed, interacted, there was a second guy, I interact, I get 4 What if options. Each one seem to trigger a transition to the same room, resetting my position? Am i missing a crucial part?

By far the most fun I had between the submsisions! I like the balancing you did. It starts really easy, but it gets increasinly difficult. Nice music as well

Yes, this was great! I could kick the bird! 10/.10 would kick again

Hi! I got the same "bug"as the user sovium, unfortunately. I like the music in there, I was sleepy but uplifting! I genuinely like the art change, reminded me of inscryption, they did that welll, and you did too. Especially for a game built in 10 days

I like this game! I actually had fun, while if you think of it: it's so basic. I did get a tiny bit frustrated when I couldn't do two kicks quickly in succession. But it didn't spoil the fun!
