I love the idea, a very creative way of portraying the anxious thoughts stopping you from going to sleep, and it's great that there's a story! Unfortunately i didn't finish the game, because i really struggled with some of those thoughts flying patterns, and the fact that you have to do the whole bunch of them after you fail frustrated me a bit. I love the gameplay here, i think it's a really great way to portray those thoughts i just kinda suck at dodging :]

And that title screen - it's gorgeous!!! The animation is beautiful, the interactive thoughts flying one way, the music - it's just beautiful!

I LOVE the title screen and transition effects. The gameplay made me struggle a bit, though it portrays rumination well.

Developer

I’m glad you liked it! :)

Cool game! I loved the effects in the main menu and options menu. The story is great too! Some more character animations and gameplay variety would have been great but otherwise it was fun!

Am I doing something wrong? I went to the bed, interacted, there was a second guy, I interact, I get 4 What if options. Each one seem to trigger a transition to the same room, resetting my position? Am i missing a crucial part?

Developer

No, that’s intentional, when you interact the thought start to throw words at you, if you’re too close you get instantly hit, I think that’s why

And you conclude all the 4 what if like that, and then follow to the next night! :)

Now I get it!, thank you. Played again and liked it! Actually great you give these subjects attention. As a neurodivergent dad of two little girls, these topics hit home. Serious games are great to let others feel the struggles some people feel. For a game built in 10 days, you've actually let me feel the topics you portray

Developer

Thank you so much :), that really means a lot to hear. I’m especially glad it resonated with you personally. Comments like yours make the effort worth it, and I’m happy you gave it another try!

Fun game! Love the story too, not too many games have a nice story, makes yours stand out :)

Developer

Thank you!! :D

I’m really glad you enjoyed the story! I put a lot of work into it, so I’m happy it helped the game stand out :)

Nice One... The color palette is really soothing. And there are not many games I played based on narratives in this jam... I wish there was more variety in the gameplay instead of just dodging questions... And the sound and art are really good... And in overall the game is pretty good... Keep Making more such games 📈😼
And yes, I came back to complement the Title screen... The title screen was so full of life, really love that part of creativity

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! :)

I really did put a lot of work into the menu, so I’m glad you liked it!

Maybe I should’ve spent a bit more time on the gameplay mechanics 🤔

I definitely could’ve made more variations in the thoughts!

Good game pal. The screenshake is abit too much for my liking. Very good message. Keep up the good work :D

Developer

I appreciate the feedback! :)

Yeah, I think I went a bit overboard with the screenshake XD

Next time, I’ll make sure I don’t make it too heavy.

Fun game! The story was interesting and it was cool you managed to set all of it in one room! Quite challenging in places too!
