Hellooo! So I'm sorry but I couldn't clear your game. I'm not a fan of games that require perfect timing, it stresses me out/frustrates me tremendously. I think you had a really interesting gameplay idea though that can really create interesting scenarios !
I like the design of the blocks and i didnt get to use the weapon but your lil character was cute and the music is nice and makes you wanna keep playing. It doesn't really fit the theme though I felt!
I really liked the pallete swapping mechanic. I wasn't very good at timing everything and I would mix up which spikes where safe vs not safe. But overall a nice game with great music and SFX.
Thanks for Playing :)
The pallete swapping is an amazing game mechanic! I also liked that you considered people might get bugged into the wall! very cool game man!
Good to hear that.... Thanks for Playing :)
IT WON'T WORK FOR ME ๐ but the game at all seems to very polish and amazing, good job!

There are some really cool ideas here. I liked the palette switching and that you not only had to worry about what blocks were active in each phase but also about how different the gravity/jump was in each one. Very cool. The platforming felt pretty good, though I definitely would have appreciated some coyote time :)
Unfortunately I ended up not making it terribly far because for the life of me I couldn't get the timing down for the parry mechanic (either it's really tight or it could just be a skill issue), so I wasn't able to clear the first room with the three switches after learning to parry. But what I did get to experience was fun (and I may come back to this later because I hate to leave a game unfinished and I want to see some of the rooms from your screenshots :P).
Solid entry; nice job!
There is some polishing yet left... After the jam is over, I will update the rooms to make them more playable so that others can have fun... Thanks for Playing btw :)
Intresting game i guess, but the unstuck feature could be better, i remember a game like it made by Juniper Dev where it had the same problem but she made it by just placing you on top instead of the nearest check point
Oh yeah, I watch her too. Even for me, I did this at first, but I somehow judged this feature wrong; I thought that the player would simply cheat by intentionally getting stuck to get on top of it... But this was in the case of the early game; the late game actually needed this feature...
Good spot, and thanks for playing :)
so i think my biggest complaint is that because of teh color swapping its just hard for me to retain which of the spike palettes are safe to walk though, then when i got to that level with the four spikes, then the two goombas with the diagonal moving goomba and...it felt like i had to die over and over just to get the goomba out of my landing zone and then the jumping plus shifting afterwards....its where i gave up.
poor use of theme but a very solid platformer, love the colors.
Well, very honest review... Thanks for Playing :)
Great mechanics and unique gameplay!
What a fun game!
Ha ha, Thanks for playing XDD
what a game! i sucked at it a lot tbh haha but had a lot of fun : )
Ha ha, Thanks for playing, appreciate it :)
This is really fun. I did notice the intro used gray and white and the game is yellow and red. Fun game though!
Ya, you can use any color, but for any given time your scene should have only two colors at a time... But still, Thanks for playing :)
Damn, I had a lot of fun with this game!
The shifting mechanic is crazy work btw, very cool.
However, I think some coyote time would help, like, a lot.
Also, sometimes pressing the shift button while jumping and moving at the same time feels a bit confusing. Maybe having a mouse click as an alternative way to shift would make it feel better.
Keep it up! Great work :)
Thanks for Playing Dudee :)
Color switching that also switches collision and jumping - a very interesting mechanic! I kinda suck at this game, it took me way too long to pass some of the levels but it was still fun. The music is fitting, and i think the art is also great, red and yellow is a quite unique choice of color and it works!
Yo, thanks for struggling... As I said, the polishing was not complete; I wanted everyone to get to the boss room. But Thanks for sitting through my game and complementing it. :)
The shift mechanic is really cool! We did similar things with the on/off switching platforms. I was a little confused on how the jump worked between shifting, it seemed I was supposed to do high jumps when I could only do small a lot. But I liked the movement feel and I had a lot of fun playing this game.
Yeah, that jump only cuts the falling velocity so that you linger more in the air... I thought a simple animation will be enough to make players understand, but well time didnt allow any more
Overall, I agree with the comments below. The game is fun, but honestly, I would have preferred a darker palette. Still, it's a good game!
Yep... Red Kind of Stings lol XXD. Thanks for playing my Game btw <3
Very fun and I liked the shifting mechanic - also a nice touch to have an unstuck button (I got stuck several times because I'm bad at platformers xD) Very enjoyable!
Well, thanks for the Review :)
I like the shifting mechanic, and it's cool how switching between colors switches the player between jumping high and running fast. Nice game!
Thanks Brochacoo XDD
I like the gameplay, especially the shifting of the colors, well done! I couldn't really grasp the sleeping part here, but I still enjoyed it. Nice!
Maan, if I had more time, I would have spent more time giving the game things to match the theme even more... But still, thanks for Playing :)
