on the road encounter. The engine of the work is the eponomous monster which is deviously wicked. Locations are goodish but a little too linear in their development. But the monster is cheff kiss. This kind of content can really give a special turn to your gaming night.

This is of course beautiful to look at and a great creature concept.

The module itself is quite railroady (but that’s somehow ok because of the creatures steering the PCs and thus the players) and veers right into fairytale-surrealism. The further it goes the more disorienting the locations and puzzles get.

At the end we’re in a room in a house of a woman we just killed, but there are many creatures peacfully sleeping there.

Perhaps I went in with a point crawl or classic adventure mindset but a funhouse dungeon direction would be more fitting to get it.

The Mylingars in their playful wickedness plus their mechanics are very nicely done! Love them!

Love everything about this entry. It remembers me one child-horror movie I watched ages ago. Visually speaking, this submission is striking. Very pitch black, perfect for the theme, and a great cover. The content is well organized and well written. I like the mechanic to make the Mylingars more friendly and unfriendly, and I think this would be very fun for any one-shot but also to be dropped inside any campaign for those travelling sessions. I know some people who would really love to play this game. Very nice submission!

gettin the tim burton alice in wonderland vibes with gremlins! nice layout and the mood mechanic is very handy when you try to cheer the Mylingars. Great art and cool cover.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed :)

I really enjoyed reading this and imagining all the goofy voices and fun you could have with the Mylingars. They're super threatening but also little chaos gremlins and who doesn't love a little chaos gremlin? Great layout, loved how you did black background with those headers. The pool of automaton blood leading to the witch's house almost makes this feel like a dream sequence. And the ART IS SO GOOD.

Developer

Thanks! Layout was tough, it was the first time we did something like this. I'm glad about what we managed to do at the end.

And yeah you're right, the art is so good! Both artist did a really good job :)

Some really cool Ideas, and I am really digging the art. Maintaining the Mylingar's mood is an interesting mechanic. I envision players getting attached (literally) and wanting to keep them as permanent pets :)

Developer

Yeah, my players had the same idea. (But they are murderhobos and just wanted them for the advantage on all rolls...)

Glad you enjoyed :)

I really liked the cover, works as a great thumbnail and immediately draws the eye to it. Always love a good "What's going on" section, makes it super easy to understand what the module is about. I was left wondering in the quest hooks section who the "one of them" and "he" is - that goes missing. As I found it not exactly clear until I read the "Encounter with the Mylingars" section and understood its a general "companion" but there is no reference of companions prior. Otherwise, the rest of the text was very easy to follow. The layout of the adventure locations is very clear, easy to read and full of fun descriptions. Visual design is very strong to! Awesome module!

Developer

Yeah indeed it's not very clear after reading it again.... Thanks for the feedback!

I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Really love the Mylingars! It reminds me of my little niece and nephew that will wreak havoc unless we play with them (but in this case we die lol I also love how flexible this is and how I can use this in the middle of a campaign as a sweet side episode. Also that illustration!! Very weird, choke full of character and very unique. Great job!!

Developer

Thanks a lot!

Glad I managed to make them feel like nieces and nephews :)

The mylingars are the cutest little murder gremlins I have seen. I love them, and I want to inflict them on my players.

Developer

I bet your players will love them too :)

I am a sucker for the battered cover look, and the cover art is very evocative. The idea of being attacked by wicked creatures that want you to play terrible games and will murderer you if you don't feels pretty familiar to a parent of small children (... I kid... partially... :) ) The minimalistic way encounters are shared let's a lot of content be placed in a very small space. And there is a LOT here.

Developer

Yeah! The art is so cool! Ridym really did a good cover.

For the Mylingars I wasn't inspired by my niece and nephew at all… Really…

I'm glad you like the way I wrote the encounters :)

Thanks! We spent a lot of time on it. Glad you enjoyed
