To be honest the situation with the earthquake here in colombia was hard, im from Cali part of the area affected, i try to get time and finish this amazing game and hope you all enjoy it and like it.

This was a one week of work and effort, luckily only got several things broken or crash but is material, really no matter now.

It’s a simple but good game! I think the shooter should be controlled with the mouse, because using the keyboard limits the player to shooting in only eight directions, while the mouse would allow for much more precise aiming and many more shooting angles.

Gameplay: The gameplay is rather standard top-down shooter, with some interesting decisions. I like how you can't just spam the shoot button. Makes each shot a bit more deliberate. Shooting with arrow keys instead of mouse is not something that you see often, but it felt all right.

Graphics: I knew what was going on at all times, and the limited color palette worked. From the other hand, the enemy variety could be better. If you have a number of different behaviors why not make them more visually distinct?

Audio: sound was fine, and I liked the background music

Theme: Stargazing is mostly felt via graphics here. It's not bad, but I feel like you could lean more into the theme.

Gameplay 4/5 - Very smooth gameplay with a nice variety of enemies.  The big bouncing boss was a lot of fun to fight.  One possible to way to expand it even more would be more powerups, or make them appear more often.

Creativity 2/5 - Feels like a pretty typical rogue-like.

Art Style 3/5 - The enemies looked cool with a good balance of similarity and differing details.  The constellation power-ups looked good too.

Audio 4/5 - The music was nice and energetic to match the gameplay, and the shooting sound didn't get too old over time.

Theme 4/5 - It's got plenty of stars.

thanks for the comment, yeah maybe more habilities, actually the game has mora of 50 constellations items and 10 boss items, maybe make it appear more so the game can feel more powerfull.

Yeah i decided to create a simple roguelike, inspired in the binding of isaac x3, try to focus on items, luck and bosses x3

thanks a lot for the comment and for enjoy my game x3

The game was good! I really enjoyed playing it. I got to level 6, I think, and then it became very, very hard, haha!

What I would suggest is adding different types of attacks or weapons as you progress, because it can get a little boring if you’re just using the same weapon all the time. You could also add some goals or challenges to encourage players to get a better score. For example, if you finish a level without using too many bullets, you could get a reward or something like that.

Overall, good game! I had fun playing it!

Hello thanks for playing, there are differents boss items actually, the first boss can give you a life stealer shoot (accumulate energy that restore your life), two differents splitters, one split in thre shooot on impac and another one split in 8 mini shoot when explode.

Also in the second boss there is a chance to get a poison shoot and some shields that can repel or poison the enemies x3

There are many weapons but is luck, like The Binding of Isaac game i got inspired

Level 6, yeah its a little hard, i always do have like that, harder xd, if you get good stats it got easier, and there are 30 level in this demo game

Ahh, I didn’t notice that because all I was seeing was the normal bullets when I pressed the arrow keys. Does the special ability activate with another keyboard key, or is it random when using the arrow keys?

And wow, 30 levels in such a short period , you really did a good job! And yeah, games are more fun when they’re harder, haha.

If you tried my game, let me know what your high score is!

Nice little game. It’s a fun roguelike, but it’s a bit too difficult due to the fact that you can only shoot along the Cartesian axes.

As already said, a fullscreen button could improve the experience.

I’m so sorry about the earthquake.

Developer

thanks for playing it and yeah the idea is a harder game to behonest, but maybe it was very difficult.

and thanks im fine and every thing good over here now x3

Pretty solid roguelike!

I liked the constellation upgrades and top-down combat, especially how completing different constellations changes your build. The game has a lot of systems packed into a jam project. 🌌⚔️

One thing I’d improve is the background/presentation using something more interesting than a mostly black background could make the whole game feel much more alive and cosmic. Also, simplifying some of the tutorial text would make it easier to jump straight into the action.

Still, good work, especially for a one-week jam! 👍

Good luck with the jam! And if you have some time, please play my game too and leave me a review! 🙏❤️

Developer(+1)

yeah this time focus in variety of items, thera are more of 50 differents constellations and almost 10 boss different items

Yeah the background could change between sections, the second one appears the corrupted enemies and the last section appears the voiding, should make changes in the background too xs

Thanks for playing and yeah this week i will star playing the games too

A fullscreen option would be nice, since pressing W/S could scroll the page, and it was hard to fit all of the game on screen. Besides that I really enjoyed this one! Great job!

Developer

i put the option but the game stays in the original dimension 1280*720, so i block the screen for now, just i dont have the time to rebuilt the game.

Thanks for playing it also x3

The graphics look great, and overall, it’s quite a polished game for a jam—even the main menu looks super cool. Unfortunately, the "how to play" tutorial is so long that it causes a bit of confusion on its own, making it hard to quickly get a grip on the rules. Also, binding "Ctrl" to pause alongside "W" for movement is a poor choice in a browser game; I accidentally closed the tab a few times! :D

The gameplay was simple but quite satisfying, and the same goes for the music. The take on the theme was pretty straightforward, so a small minus there for the lack of creativity.

If I were to improve anything, I would simplify the rules a bit. There are a lot of introduced systems that are hard for a player to absorb—exceptionally complicated rules and a top bar for such a simple core gameplay loop.

Developer

Thanks for playng, yeah it was inspiredin the binding of isaac game, id ecided to write the instructions to be honest, but was a last hour process, it wasnt considered to be included.
The ctrl, yeah i forgot the dilema with the web browser, it was planned to be executable but decided at the end to pass the game to web for more player facilities e.e
thanks so much for play and the info x3
