i think i got stuck at the third level so i just listened to the chill music and took my time to enjoy the design of the game page which is really cool
Fun game, I also found the sword strikes a bit unclear. maybe hide it or change it in some way so it's clear when you're attacking? Art and Audio are very nostalgic great vibes!!
Art is fantastic.
Love the look and feel of this game. Two SUPER minor things, it was no immediately clear that you have to hold click to use the sword in the game itself, and then it seemed to lose my held click when movement inputs were given, making me stop attacking while on the move. Overall tho I really love the aesthetic you acheived and the gameplay felt nice and tight
thanks..
you doesn't need to hold click.
this is why i made a control table on my page and there is an important note there about how the sword works.
and idk how but i can attack while i am moveing, idk how you got that.
I figured it out! I missed that clicking "activates" the sword for .75 or whatever. I think maybe putting more of an indicator on the sword or some sort of draining progress bar to indicate that you only have this long to swing sword would help in the game itself. Now that I get the concept it does appear to be working totally as designed!
I love the mechanics!
I liked the framing and art style.
Audio and visuals are top-notch! However, the theme “Time Is Key” is lacking, as the game is essentially just a timer running from the beginning to the end, rather than meaningfully incorporating the idea of “Time Is Key.”
The Sword sometimes did not work.
thanks for the feedback,
i implemented the theme as you have a cupon(forgot to mention that the vending machine accepts cupons too but the deadline is over now) and it's expire if the time runs out
i thought this was good idea:
timer: time
cupon: key
but it's seems that isn't.
maybe i should writed the story shorter(and mentioned that policy)
and as the sword i don't know why but thanks for pointing it out.
I see. Still, very, very good work!
very nice visuals but i found a few bugs. you cant restart after losing (it takes you back to the start screen after clicking start), and its very difficult to jump over those bouncy steps with the enemies on them
yeah... thanks for the feedback
i realized after i submitted the the game and the deadline closed i forgot to stop or restart the timer.
and i am not first english speaker so i think that you thought that you need to jump on the enemys like in the classic mario bros
but in this game you need to press the "attack" button (left mouse button) and swing at the enemy instead.
and also i code in spaghetti so maybe that's why there is a lot of bugs
very nice very retro audiovisuals, and interesting, as i would like to name it, immersive weapon handling, gg
