Yes, all of the graphics were made by me, my brother, and my friend

Did your team create most of/all the audio yourselves?
No, most of the audio with the exception of the main menu theme is royalty free downloadable music and sfx

How did you incorporate the theme "UNSTABLE"?
One of the definitions of unstable is "likely to change", and in this game, everything changes constantly

Great game love the random twists! I found the controls a little unresponsive especially the jump but I love the games humour! Great first game!

Yeah, adding a bit more juice to the game would be a good idea. As for your game, I really like it! There are some other games in this jam and just in general that are just a bunch of minigames, but your minigames were really fun and unique! My favorite one was the "find the hotspot" one.

I actually hadn't expected it to be this hard, but I definitely had fun. It turned out to be an entertaining game. great job.

Developer

I really appreciate the feedback! Don't worry, you are definitely not the first person to have the problem of it being too hard! I think it was something to do with the randomized events forcing impossible scenarios as well as the fact that the difficulty spike was judged by the same person that made and playtested the entire game!

Congratulation the game is great but extremely hard loved it :)

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! It's great to hear that you liked it! About it being hard, I think it's because I gauged the difficulty by my own standards after making the entire game and playtesting it a lot :p

I definitely will! Thanks!

I liked the variety of all the quirks thrown at you! The delayed jump was weirdly satisfying

Developer

Thanks! Funny story, the delayed jump was actually a bug, but I thought it was so weird and goody that I kept it!

Congrats on making your first game! Its really well put together.

The random changes got a bit too hard to overcome, but the idea is good. Sound effects were funny too haha

I'm happy you chose Godot

Great job to you, your brother and friend!

I cannot express how much this means to me! I have been trying to start making games for almost a year, and this experience has really helped me so much. Your feedback means so much to me, as I am a personal fan of your game! Thank you!

Hey, I'm his brother. As I mentioned on your itch page, I love your game. I'm actually in the middle of another really good run right now. Here are some screenshots, one of my current run, and one of the highest amount of money I have ever gotten in one round.

Here you go :D

I honestly tried to get through at least the first level (and almost made it a couple of times). The character's jumps were implemented in an unusual way: you had to jump first, and then move the character left or right. The character animation is cool))

Developer(+1)

Hey, thank you so much for playing! All the animations were made by my brother, and he's happy to hear that you liked them! The weird character jump actually started as a bug, but we thought it was really goofy so we kept it. It is a very difficult game though, and I keep getting feedback that tells me I should make my future games a lot easier!

I think it just needs to be balanced: the game shouldn't be too easy and predictable. The main thing is to eliminate any obviously impossible moments. Although, my game for this jam isn't difficult and is rather predictable, unfortunately. In any case, you and your brother are great! Your game has great potential!)

Developer(+1)

Yes I agree, but because everything is randomized, every time the player dies, it feels like there is nothing they could have done to prevent it. And also, because of randomization, there are indeed impossible moments. Again, I really appreciate the feedback and I will make sure to implement it in future games! Thank you so much!

Bro i laughed so much!

Developer

Thanks so much for playing!

this game tore me and my brother apart

Developer

Thanks so much for playing! It did the same to me and my brother during playtesting!

Considering this is one of your first projects, it’s pretty good! The only thing I’d suggest is taking another look at how the instability works. As I understand it, the idea is that the jumping behavior and environment are constantly changing, but right now those changes feel a little too random and sometimes unfair to the player.

It might be worth making them more deterministic for example, using a clear sequence or specific zones where the conditions change.

Overall, though, it’s quite good. I even managed to complete one level!))

Developer(+1)

First, thank you so much for spending the time to give me all this great feedback! I also noticed about halfway through that my friends felt as if there was basically nothing they could do to avoid losing because it was all randomized. I’ll be sure to use this advice in my next game! Thank you!
