Description
I intended to follow more levels, but some personal stuff got in the way and I didn't have the time to make a more energetic part, so my composition follows level 1, though it follows the rules of all five level except for the missing energetic part.

Because the name of the name included the word 'time' and because I'm a huge prog fan I wrote my composition in 5/4, but you can't really hear that until the percussion comes in making it feel very weird, but the pieces still fit which I think fits the steampunk aesthetic. The song is in C minor but the ending is in C dorian. I hope you enjoy!

Everything is 4/4 if you count hard enough

I like the choice of bass, very moody.

The 5/4 time is sadly not very present - the clock tick is in 5/4, but everything else sounds like a 4/4 over an out-of-time click track. It would help to add some clear expression in the bassline, that keeps to the five beats and is strong on the 1 and the 3 or 4 (consistently on the same one) to really get the feel for the meter.

But I can totally see this track as something in a steampunk game.

Hey there, I've just listened to your track!

I think it has some really good ideas, especially the choice of instruments and the way the violin interacts with the accompaniment.

However, I found the track somewhat repetitive at times, and I think the violin could have been introduced more prominently earlier in the piece. I also felt that a few notes in the violin melody sounded a little unusual or out of place.

Overall, though, there are some good ideas here.

Good luck with the rest of the voting period!
