Fun little game, it's the great base for something bigger too. I can see this being played on the switch! Art style is sleek, UX feels pretty good. I wish there were more maps to try out. Fun to juggle the postage. I somehow can see this being a friend slop game, where you need to deliver with friends where one drives the other tries to balance idk but great potential. good job!
Thank you so much & glad you enjoyed!! Ahh a friend slop game is such a great idea for it!
I've always loved cel-shaded models. I think they're more than good enough for a game jam—great job. I hope you'll try out my game, too, and rate it.(Rated)
Thank you and I will!!
Very cute look to the whole game, consistent style and color choices. Even your thumbnail I like the design of. I see at the bottom this is your first game jam, this is great! Learning additive scene loading is very useful for game initialization and menus. I think it would have been better to make camera 2 the default, initially i was confused how to play if i couldn't see over the wall from the first camera.
Ahh thank you!! I was panicking about the thumbnail bc I ran out of time to draw something so I just quickly staged a scene in the game for that and I'm glad it turned out (:
Yeah I've only made smaller games before where I didn't really need to keep the state of the player between scenes, so the additive scene loading was really helpful to learn - thank you for the feedback!
I love it!The game concept is super creative and fits the theme so well! The art and music are really cozy and pleasant too (though like the commenter mentioned, the roof sometimes blocks the view). Anyway, Great game!! :D👍
Thank you so much!! :D
Great work, fellow delivery-game maker. Love the chill vibes! Movement feels fun, I could even see this going in a direction where you get bonus points for drifting
Thanks so much! (: it was really fun to play yours too and see the different directions we went with a similar "delivery" concept!
I absolutely loved the visuals. The issue with the camera has already been pointed out, and I agree; I think Camera 2 should be the default, or perhaps even a controllable camera, to give a better view of the cute model.
The music is really lovely and pleasant—I genuinely enjoyed it a lot.
The vehicle physics aren't a problem in themselves, but I really missed having sound effects. I once heard that sound effects are more important than the music itself; it would be cool to hear the engine starting up and everything rattling as the vehicle moves.
Thank you & thanks for the feedback!! That's such a great point about the SFX - I had built in the logic to play it for both accelerating/crashing but I waited way too long to find some good sound tracks for it ): definitely lesson learned though, next time I'm going to prioritize finding the SFX early on
The vibes are great. Good color pallet, great soundtrack selection. As others said there could be a bit more to it. Keep working on it outside the jam, has potential to be really fun!
Check out my game if you get a chance 😀.
Thank you! I definitely will - i hoping to make some tweaks afterwards & implement all the feedback (:
Yess, yours looks so silly, I'll take a look!
Good job with the theme and overall gameplay concept! Delivery games can offer up some good fun and this one hits it. Wish it had more than 1 level to race around. The physics were fairly easy to figure out and the upgrade system was a nice touch although it felt like there was no end point to the game, but fun none the less!
Thank you so much!! Ahh i actually built in the logic to have a route upgrade but ran out of time building the other scenes. I was going to have them be different difficulty levels and even had a windy road that had hills but didn't get to finish it ): thank you for the feedback and glad you enjoyed!
Love the cozy vibes! As another commenter already mentioned, I think camera 2 should be the default. I struggled a bit at first until I realized you could switch cameras.
Thank you so much!! & good call out for the camera view - I was hoping to have a tutorial cut-scene that would make the player toggle between the two but ran out of time ): i think defaulting to 2 is a great point tho!
So cool!
Thank you!! (:
awesome submission and art, the gameplay is neat, the press images is very good, overall a very polished submission, I think the camera 2 should have been the default one, I'm not sure the camera 1 is behaving as you inteded, because its very limited viewsight
the interface is very intuitive and easy to understand, also the game is straightforward, I admire that, given that most of what we do end up very confusing haha
Wow thank you so much!! & yes thanks for calling that out! I had been playing in camera 2 view for so long during testing that i totally missed that it wasn't following the player how I'd expect - i was intending for it to have the same follow effect as #2 but just from the front view, but I'll have to go back and fix it (: thanks for the feeback!
