Pretty ok but I feel like you needed a little more of testing; once you enter the game you cant close the game unless you finish it, cant modify the volume in-game, and I feellike the collisions are too big (you die even if the enemy is not touching you). Also I was searching for a attack button, since the player has a wrench I thought I could attack.

Levels are cool and movement and jump feels nice, good job overall! If you can, I recomend you from now on to update a web version too; people tend to try it more if it can be played without downloading anything.

Yes, I'm sorry, this is my first game, I'm really glad that you liked it, I really appreciate it :) Thank you so much for the detailed review about the hitboxes. I overdid it and will learn New things in the future! I am very glad that you liked the game :) thanks !

Those things are all noob things that you learn with time, base is pretty nice and pretty solid!!

For the hitboxes, a general rulenis to make them sigly smaller than the sprite, except for good things; collectibles, coins, in your case the batteries, should be a bit bigger; if you die near something dangerous without touching it, it will feel unfair, and if you touch it just a little bit and don't die, it would be that bad. But if you try to reach a collectible, you touch it just a little bit but dont collect it, it will also feel unfair. It is a bit difficult at first do get how the things feel right or wrong, but youll get it with time. Just, test it, play your games, change what you feel like you dont like. I also recomend, when you feel like the game is alright, send it to a friend and make them test it, let them tell you how they feel playing it, since sometimes you will not be able to see if something is not working right and a new oppinion will help you.

Nice and quick, but a very nice controller you've got there. Jumps felt tight and responsive.
Would have loved to see it be a little bit longer and perhaps some slightly more forgiving hit boxes or a life bar!
Good entry! Well done!

Developer

Thanks a lot :) next time I'll make the levels longer and more dangerous, but also reduce the enemy zone Thanks For the feedback, I appreciate it :)

hello, i enjoyed your game, thought it was pretty neat, i can see you used a more involved character controller because you can jump in the air right after you leave a platform, which feels better than defaults godot controller. as others noticed here, the hitbox of the obstacles that kill you are way too big, and the feedback of dying to them therefore feels bad. that being said, the controls were well implemented, the objective was very clear, and its clear to me there was effort in the overall presentation. Very cool game man.

Thank you very much, friend :) I'll take into account all your wishes about the hitboxes again, sorry guys. 😅

I appreciate it, thank you.  ❤️

Привет! :)

It's a fun little platformer about collecting batteries, which unlock a portal so you can continue to the next level. The background of your pixel art was awesome. Good job on that. :)

Also great to see a mobile version! Wish there were a browser version too, since most people love to play game jams directly in their browser. :D

The people before me already commented on the hitboxes, but nobody pointed out the exact issue with them: the collisions are way bigger than the sprite. My suggestion (for the game-feel) would be to make the hitboxes slightly smaller than the corresponding sprite. (I added a screenshot with a suggestion)

Congrats on your first Godot Wild Jam, it's a solid entry! <3

Привет! :)

I tried to make a browser version, but I had problems. Thank you for pointing out the problem of Hitboxes and describing it very clearly. I understood how to make hitboxes in the future. You gave me valuable experience. Thank you! I really appreciate it. 🙂

This was pretty cool, definitely see the vision you were going for! Agree with the other comments about hit boxes but good job otherwise. Keep it up!

Developer

Thanks a lot :) I appreciate this about the hitboxes, sorry guys, I made them so that the game doesn't seem so fast, I guess I overdid it next time I'll be more attentive thank you all.

Developer

I will be glad if you rate my game :)

Was very good, but please make the hitboxes on the enemies and spikes more forgiving, I found myself dying at parts where it looked like I wasn't supposed to die. Even so, Good Job! (;

Thanks for the feedback, I'll take your wishes into account. 🙂 :)

pretty good for (i'm guessing) a first platformer of yours. though you should improve on making the hitboxes more gameplay viable

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! In the last update, I improved the hitboxes, they became much smaller than before. I'm very glad that you liked it.
