I'm always a big fan of creepy and surreal games like this. I really loved the music in this one and the battles are really challenging.

I think this was literally the first game I played in this jam! Super good job!

The atmosphere and art style are fantastic, and the music fits perfectly. The combat is challenging but really fun, and the game has a lot of personality. Great work!

Very fun but very challenging. You've done a great job a creating the atmosphere and mood for the game! The man x wolf boss was super hard for me. Thanks for sharing!

This is really a great game! third fight was the hardest one because I couldn't catch the attack things. I loved your art style, it's pretty unique, songs are wonderfull, a really original game (I think it's mix of undertale and omori. I am a huge undertale fan lol) Last but not least It's going sync wit the theme. I give this game a 5/5. I think that's one of biggest candidates of the winners

I was not expecting a game this polished to be made in this amount of time, bravo! I'm a big fan of Undertale and Deltarune, so I loved the bullet hell combat. My only critique is that I wish there were I-frames, because sometimes I would lose instantly because I panic and get hit a bunch. Definitely my favourite from this jam so far!

I really liked playing it although I couldn’t figuire out how to get past the hole in the ground after the first battle. I wish I could’ve played more, but it looks really good, good job.

The atmosphere is really well made and the music fits perfectly! the choice of make the game B/W was nice, contributes more to the uncanny/dreaming atmosphere and the dream reality. the fight parts reminded me of Undertale, liked the writing and the way the characters talk to the dreamer, good job!

Thank you so much!
I'd really appreciate you rating game on the main page, too, it means much for me

Really really thank you for adding the last resort option. I am completely trash in this type of combat, so glad that you added the option so even me can watch how the story ends. So basically he was betrayed is that the case? The art style was unique like "UNSTABLE" if I have to say. Great game.

Developer

Hi there, thank you for your feedback!
It's more of an open ending, but I like to think, that like icarus, it was a consequence of their own actions
Thanks for playing! If you don't mind you could leave a rating on the main page https://flemming1k.itch.io/out/rate

Done, if you don't mind as well and have time, can you try my entry and tell me what I did good and what I did really bad just so I can improve next time.

THIS IS SO PEAK

The art and atmosphere are just perfect, and the Undertale-style combat mechanic are lowkey difficult, but the game is still so addictive. Very good work!

Honestly my favorite game of this Jam by far.

This work of art was perfectly valued ;)

Limbo meets undertale :) I liked it, pretty cool idea and art. Combat was a bit tough. Nice work!

DUDE, WHAT A GREAT GAME, MAN! ONE OF THE BEST GAMES FROM THIS JAM THAT I'VE PLAYED. I'M DEFINITELY SAVING THIS TO BEAT IT.
Everything is really good—the sounds, the sound effects; it has a vibe that mixes *Hollow Knight* and *Undertale*. If you add animations, a menu, and so on, the game will be PERFECT—seriously, truly professional-level quality.

Developer

I'm glad you liked it so much!
It would really benefit the game if you'd leave a rating, please! https://flemming1k.itch.io/out/rate

Atmosphere is really nice, love the idea to do bullet hell to fight. Loved that every enemy has multiple unique patterns, but they can be a bit too long. Also the format of the life bar of the neemies is kind of strange, you should have make it horizontal or get lower from the top, not on the sides.

The platformer part is not as good though, the jump feels really off being too high and slow to get back down.

Overall nice bullet hell with a plot, amazing atmosphere, good job!

Developer

Thank you for the detailed feedback, it is really appreciated!
Also, please drop a rating if you can, I'd be grateful

The black & white hand drawn art style gives off such awesome Limbo vibes! Combining that dark, atmospheric esthetic with bullethell mechanics makes for a really unique experience. Great job! [Rated]

Really nice. Like others, I’d say the jump in difficulty from the wolf to the enemies that follow is insane, but it’s nice that you can choose to skip the fights. Plus, we both have a black-and-white aesthetic! Great game.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! There's a lot of room for improving and building difficulty curve is my weakness, really, I'll work on it

Leave a rating, if you don't mind, it really matters for me

Normally my one suggestion would be to make the game easier, but the inclusion of the skip button allowed me to skip through difficult sections. This game has the battle system of undertale, the platforming of a metroidvania, the story of Isacc the Binding, and the difficult of Dark Souls with a blindfold on (but that is not a complaint at all since the skip button allows the tough battles to be optional). Great story, great art, great atmosphere, and great music. Amazing job overall.

Developer

Thank you for your valuable feedback!
I really shouldn't have made that combat difficulty rocket up like that, but was short on time and really didn't  want to have  low-quality encounters (both character-wise and combat-wise), so I left it as it is.
I would be very pleased if you could leave a rating for my game!

Its ok. Developers dont have enough time to have a perfectly balanced game, which is why Easy/Hard modes, Skipping fights, and other components help a lot in games.  Your game is difficult but that isn't a problem since I can skip the sections which were too difficult. In the choice between leaning too hard or too easy I recommend too easy, but being too easy is still a problem (I had a game that was so easy that people thought that the game was broken). It is also important to  remember what you know about the game as a developer and what someone who doesn't know anything about your game will know.

Even though your game is difficult I liked the characters and the unique ways enemies attacked, and I can tell you put a lot of effort into this! :)

the black and white sketchy style fits this really well. star head was probably the fight i remembered most after finishing

mine's completely different but i'm in the jam too — ONE REACTOR. would appreciate a rating if you get around to it
