Description
I chose level 5 precision.
The story is about two friends being given the task of finding the cause of a local anomaly as tasked by a time guardian. Progressing as time goes, one of the heroes is discovered to be the anomaly. Reluctant to solve the anomaly (give the anomaly to the time guardian), they demand an explanation from it, which unveils that the friend is destined to be a hero in the future and stop an all-devouring demon from consuming time. The demon was the one to mismatch their births to let the hero die naturally before it even appears. If they do not proceed the hero will never be reborn, while allowing the time guardian to preserve their spirit will allow the hero to be born again in a new body to face the demon. The music starts melancholically to represent this parting of friends, the energetic sections represent the ultimate good for the future, and the ending returns to the present.

Hey, I've just listened to your track!
I really liked your melodies, and the middle section was my favorite part. At that point, the beat and the orchestration are awesome and everything comes together really well.
I think the instrumentation in the other sections feels a bit thinner by comparison. The mandolin (if it is a mandolin) might be a little too prominent in the mix, and it definitely sounds too dry to my ears. A bit more ambience or reverb could help it blend more naturally with the rest of the track.
I also felt more of a medieval atmosphere than a steampunk one.
Good luck with the rest of the voting period!
I totally love how your track start sounding like an early console, but you then weave more modern sounds in, creating this very cool mix of different gaming eras. That seamless switch to 6/8 at 2:04 was really cool too!
The overall dry sound has already been mentioned, but apart from that you are missing a DAW screenshot (your music does not sound AI generated, but I'd hate to see your submission removed from the jam for formal errors).
Again, very cool submission and I hope to see you in future jams.

That was an interesting track! I liked the musical ideas and enjoyed listening to the instrumentation. Sorta reminds me of Waterflame a little bit with your spiccato strings and your drum choice, especially in the middle section.
I do agree with Chwrlue that the instruments feel quite static and dry, so perhaps changing up note velocity and applying some panning to some instruments to enhance the width of the track.
Thanks Aestus for your submission! I thought it was pretty neat!
The accompaniment and melody works really well together and it suits the brief nicely. I think that the instruments feel quite static up until 1:30, and after 2:04. That sweet spot in the middle is my favourite part of the song, I really like it.
