Description
Perfectionism is the biggest enemy of music and art (besides AI of course) this is the 3rd track I have been working on for this jam, didn't feel the melody in the others quite was what I wanted, and so i made this these past 2 days or so.
I made this track with level 3 in mind, it would probably fit some kind of western game maybe, mostly because of the verse, which I'm not sure I'll keep though.
I started the track with the solo acoustic intro in 3/4, because i feel that that gives a good feeling of nostalgia, it also introduces (or reintroduces) the melody/leitmotif, plus I just got a new acoustic, so...
The 6/8 shuffle feel then gives a upbeat and carefree kind of feeling, which i accentuated with the flute in the next part. I think it would be interesting to continue with that instead of the minor western thing with the slide i did, it's also difficult for me to make a proper melody for that part, it sounds too jammy honestly.
Then the end gives a good final, would love to continue the song after that though. I also obviously need to rerecord the acoustic guitar parts, would definitely need to do something with my room acoustics first, just can't get a good sound, practicing how to mic the guitar would help too, lol.

This is so cool - moving the melody from an almost classical guitar tune to the flute, giving the multiple guitars more of a rhythm role and right as THAT realization kicks in, the electric guitar takes over the melody once again. Very nice progression, evocative mood, clean recording, bringing in the cymbal...
It's one of those tracks where I would like to offer an opinion on how it might end up even better, but I'm just failing at coming up with anything. Absolutely fantastic.

Wow, that was super ! The quality sound is satisfying. Love the acoustic guitar, feels lively, almost as if it was improvised there before me. I like how you introduce the more energetic part at 0:28 with that sustain, and those cymbals.
The rythm on the drums is satisfying. The flute gives me Stardew Valley vibes and with the electric guitar, it reminds me of my childhood summer memories x). Nice way to go from flute, to electric guitar, then flute again for the ending.
You said it might sound too jammy, but I think it's what makes it beautiful, it's like sitting on a chair and people play it before you and you enjoy life as it is and it fits very well a credits roll too ! Could listen to it, eyes closed and enjoy.
One small thing, maybe the ending could have been extended for a few 2-3 seconds. Like after the final note, having the acoustic guitar play some notes in decrescendo, as the music is already sweet. The final note feels a little sudden.
Overall, it's one where I enjoyed the most listening in this jam !
Thank you for the feedback, I do think the jammy verse is growing on me, and I do plan on making the song longer in general, I think I know what you mean with the decrescendo in the end, it’s a good idea.

I find your track very original and unique to the subject (which, in my opinion, is a good thing !). The only thing that I can say (again, in my opinion and I just talk about this event in particular because the track in itself is amazing quality) is that I would love a longer or a more progressive build up on the intro but it is just my personnal feeling because I love intros haha. Really good job, you're a great guitarist ! Well done !
thank you, it’s a Richwood G-70, my recording technique and room don’t really do it justice in my opinion. If I had more time, I would have loved to add more to the intro, and the song in general, but it’s what it is with these kinds of things.
Hey, I've just listened to your track!
I really liked it. The guitar at the beginning is beautiful and conveys a lot of emotion. The more energetic section is great as well, and it connects naturally with the first part of the piece.
The only point I would mention is that the track feels a little short, and I would have enjoyed hearing it develop a bit further.

Thanks, I agree that it's a bit short, it was all i managed to make in time for this jam, as i spent the first half trying to find an idea I felt was strong enough.
