Great work, lovely story! Felt great to round up the elements and blast them back out, however it wasn't really clear what the combinations should be to accomplish certain effects or what effect was loaded in the moment.
The VOD for the review is linked below, and will be available for 60 days:

the dialouge was really funny but that was about one of the only things it had going for it.
it was also a bit hard to understand how to play but I still had some level of fun!
Really liked the writing of the dialogue.
The elemental harvesting felt a bit too chaotic for me to feel like I really had an opportunity to strategize on what I want to pick up and in what order. The core loop idea of having to move around to both evade attacks and harvest your own is really good though! Maybe a way to reorder your stored elementals would help?
Having all the elemental types available from the start also made it hard to really get a feel for the differences between all the kinds of shots available.
Overall though the direction and gameplay are very good.
Neat game! I loved the meta humor and the combat was pretty well done and fun to play.
...I'll never get over Steve...
Thank you for playing our game! R.I.P. Steve "statistically okay... "

This game was fun and cute. I do have a couple of nitpicks, though. The elemental system, while interesting, doesn't feel like it actually changes anything. I feel the weapon system would have to be more complex for this to be entirely justified. It just feels like sometimes the bullets are slow or there are multiple for no apparent reason. It feels a little unfair when the boss is off-screen and all of a sudden he shoots a projectile that cannot be reacted to in time. I would suggest maybe zooming the camera out for when that happens or having like a reticle to show where danger is. Why do the bosses continue to shoot after death? I think it would make more sense if they just exploded, then you wouldn't have to worry about them being able to kill the player post-death. The writing of the dialogue is both superfluous and vague, and I don't think it was very necessary. Also, you don't have to listen to me. I'm just a guy on the internet, and the base game was fun enough.
I forgot to add that the actual charging of your gun felt really unnecessary, and I think the game would be better without it.
Thank you for playing our game! So, the original intention was to have the collected sprites change into a combined shot of the sprites. With different effects/damages determined by the shot. That was the plan anyways, with time constraints and schedule conflicts we just were not able to accomplish that task. The shot speed difference is intentional (based on the type of shot it was) And yeah the shot off screen, and the boss not de spawning was a small oversite on our part lol. Hope you enjoyed the Jam
Fun game, I enjoyed it. It was a bit overstimulating tho :D
A slower introduction can be better if your world is so unusual I guess. (little stuff flyting around felt like danger at first)
