I really liked the theme, it has lots of potential, and yes I DID check behind the waterfall. Controls were really clunky and jumps don't register properly most of the time while standing on the platforms, aside from that, very interesting game!
Dialogue is written really well. Game is polished, even though the movement could use some work. A really fun game with an awesome look!
This was fun to have expectation being subverted like that. And Surprisingly i liked the movement with TFGH and made me think about the benefit of having more space on the left. But the movement itself felt a bit clunky. It could’ve used some acceleration or coyote Time for jumping, especially for the parkour section.
I know what you mean! So many more keys we could use. Great idea, I’ll look into coyote time
Thank you for playing and feedback
Really nice job. The concept is fun. Made me do some extra gymnastics to get used to the mechanics. I love how I have to fight my natural curiosity to progress, but I still don't get punished by actually being curious and checking what's behind the waterfall :)
Cheers
Thank you for your feedback! That was the aim, to make players think about things we often find in games
Cool concept! I walked away to check on something, came back and used wasd, straight back to the checkpoint lol
Thanks for playing! Happy someone was caught out by that then
Can't believe I made the minecraft parkour and there was no secret >:(
Fun game! As others have already stated, the controls are weird. I think you could definitely make the fov a bit bigger, I constantly felt as if I couldn't see anything. The players movement is a bit too fast too I think, it was really hard to finish but I managed!!
Disaster! Ran out of time for anything after the doors. I don’t think I changed the camera settings from default so can definitely look at it.
Thanks for playing!
I love the concept although I think the controller need some more tweaking as it feels too floaty for me. I know you wanted players to avoid tropes but coins are just way to enticing to leave uncollected. But in all seriousness, I would love to see this as a full fledged game!
Thank you for your feedback. I may continue the concept and will definitely be fixing the rubbish and basic movement controller. I’d planned to add a level later where there were loads of lava pits and coins to dodge
I love the "Sorry no secret here" sign! Read my mind!
Did you find the other secret area? 👀
No but now I want to play the game again and find it
Good luck! I can give you a hint if you really need to find it
Not Checking Behind a Waterfall: Challenge level impossible. Unfortunately the controls were a little sticky and I wasn't able to progress very far, but I like what you did to match the theme!
Definitely agree! Found it difficult in limited time to make a better controller. Thanks for your feedback
Fun idea that got me doing most of the tropes. I finished the game, I think, unless there was more after the quit button lol
Thank you for playing! More game after the quit button would have been so funny
The jump felt a bit clunky, which made it impossible for me to finish the game. But good idea in general and impressive that this was done by only one person.
Definitely understand! I think the grounded detection could use some refining, thanks for playing!
Cool idea pretty short can see this getting expanded, but personally it was hard to play and caused a bit of motion sickness an FOV slider would really help it imo. Nice job though.
So sorry it made you feel motion sick. Those kind of settings can definitely be added if I were to continue the project. Thanks for playing
