How does the game fit the theme?
We did a play on "trust no one" by incorporating a murder mystery and a typewriter with a broken 1 key.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
We used the plugins LeanTween and FMOD as well as a few Google Fonts.

How many people worked on the game?

the desk is gorgeous, reading the first report about joseph white and then thunking the legitimate stamp on it and watching it slide into the tray felt great. the broken number one key on the typewriter as the forgery tell is a really clever way to do trust no one, nice work

Thanks so much for the positive feedback! :)

Great atmosphere. I did feel like a detective, I just don't have the focus to read through all the text and make sense of it. The game does hit the theme 100%.

Very cool idea, and impressive you had this done in a week! I also found the page turning a little confusing, once I realised where the sweet spot is it was fine though. I was confused at first about how the files worked - the first few files I thought I lost, or I was unsure how to get rid of the letter on screen. It would have been fun if you can drag and drop the files into the boxes for some more interaction.

Overall very impressive work!

We intend to add some clarity around the cursor and moving around letters with stamps after the jam. Thank you for playing!

This is so good??? Full on detective game! I had some problems though at first when interacting with the stamps, the page turning, and such, but all is well in the end! Loved this ^^

Yeah if we had the extra time clarifying the UI better would be our main thing. Thank you so much for playing and giving feedback!

I like the consistency of the assets. They support the atmosphere very well.

Developer

We were going for an atmospheric kind of game so I'm glad to hear that! Thank you so much for playing and giving feedback!

The art/music combination is brain candy, well done!

In general, I liked it, though I think the files have quite a lot of text. The art style was amazing. I also had some trouble turning the pages. I think using a button would be better.

Developer(+1)

Those are both fair points yeah, maybe we can add a page turn button as a bug fix. Thank you so much for trying out our game and giving feedback!

Really cool game! The visuals, sfx, and general gameplay are fun/good. I was a little confused at first because there is not really a tutorial on how to actually play. Some of the buttons/interactables are a little obscure too.

Developer(+1)

We ran out of time for a tutorial but maybe we could at least add a pop-up to give some direction. Thank you for trying our game and giving your feedback!
