How does the game fit the theme?
Players can help each other's out ! They can push each other, and players can speak together behind the computer... But in the end, only one car wins the race... And players play secretly, so you can betray and be betrayed !

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
A bit of the game structure was made a few days prior

I could not play; it seems to have a resolution bug on my Apple Air Mac. Only a third of the screen is visible, and unable to launch into full-screen mode

tried giving it a whirl with my partner- cute idea!! the visual style is very nice :] i do think a little tutorial at the start before inputting the teams and car numbers would be handy <33

Really charming concept and a great visual style — I especially liked the isometric look mixed with the simple 2D art. I spent the first couple of minutes figuring out exactly what I was supposed to do, but once it clicked, everything made sense pretty quickly. I think a short tutorial would make the start much smoother. Other than that, it’s a really fun concept, especially as a game to play with friends :)

Great ! Happy to hear you liked it ! Indeed this game is better when you play with friends ! And indeed a tutorial would have been great haha

Really enjoyed the 2D low poly isometric aesthetic! Almost reminded me of Sims 1 a little bit. Maybe this was something on my side, but is the viewport on your game page like a really high resolution? haha I had to zoom way out to see the full game window.

Thanks for your comment ! Yeah I struggled a bit when I exported the game lol this was my first time doing so.. Hope it didn't alter your experience !

I loved the game's aesthetics. I was a bit confused at first, but I managed to get my bearings. Innovative idea!

Developer

Thanks ! Indeed a tutorial really could've been helpful

Really nice idea actually, one idea worth exploring is to put the controls on the keyboard so the players dont need to switch seats, that way the controls would be "hidden" and the rounds could move in parallel.

Developer

Ahah ! That's a great idea !! Thanks for the suggestion :D

There’s no tutorial, so I was a little confused at first, but I figured things out after a few tries. Pretty cool idea btw, definitely fun to play with friends!

Thanks a lot ! Indeed I had no time for a tutorial, definitely something I'll be working on in the following weeks

Looking good and I can see the game going further from here. A Singleplayer mode and a short "simulation" like tutorial e.g. going through one cycle, would be great.

Developer

Thanks for these ideas ! A SinglePlayer mode would be great indeed, and I consider working on it !!

That was finished last minute, so there are a few missing spots (didn't have the time to make the sound design, the tutorial and cool animations)... I will continue this game so if you have suggestions I'm interested to hear them !
