Lol went to check out the purple planet thing, but it was a black hole. Then after resetting and continuing a bit longer, I fell through the floor. Had a lot of fun with the boost, and the theme was implemented by the Captain being super untrustworthy.
But I'm here from InstrumenTal's music post.
It was fun doing tricks, but I always ran into black holes and it was diffucult to exit them. Otherwise very fun!
the only trustworthy characters were the aliens, not the talent guy nor the captain :D
remotely controlling the player was fun, and i loved the overall wackiness.
good job!
Gosh I love this kind of dead-pan humor. Nice one! :D
Fun surf/snow boarding game with a unique take on the theme. The chiptune music works really well with the space aesthetic. I also love the sound design choices that were made as it really complements the trick-focused gameplay. The sense of speed was perfect although I would've loved the ability to spin freely and/or even land backwards and maintain momentum for more player expression. This would be an amazing game with a more expansive map to roam around and pull off massive tricks. Great game!
This is a pretty cool world to explore on a surf board. i also just ran directly into a blackhole lol
Immediately went flying the second i discovered the drift boost, covered half the distance till the remote, fun game
Really fun game, didn't see anything movement based like that for the jam :)
I am happy that I found the remote :D
How did you create the map?
Good job! :)
Thanks!, I’m glad you like it :) For the map, we used Unity built in terrain tool
Who doesn’t want to surf in outer space!?
Great song and visuals.
When I saw the first black hole, I went RIGHT into it just to see what happened :D
Solid entry!
Hi, I'm from the specific topic about music so I'll make feedback mostly about this part:
Music theme subjectively sounds good to me. I can really see that it has a well crafted melody with good attention to progression and tone. Not sure about how well it fits the game though, just because it really has strong Deltarune or similar game vibes — maybe it's not that straightforward and the gameplay needed something with more pure energy. Sounds are kinda okay, maybe some have a little too sharp or high pitch, but it's not that critical.
Hello tested your game, was kinda fun
I would have love to have F on an other button (like mouse button), because we can't control the board and turbo at same time with F
As the person which did the sound asked some specific feedback, I will add them here:
- the music is good but don't fit the game. The game want you to build high speed, do trick, etc. And the music on it side is slow/chill, not matching the gameplay
- the sfx of typewriter is good
- the sfx of turbo and tricks are mixed too low in my opinion, you want the sfx which answer an action of the player, action which expect some "reward" to be louder. Currently I barrel hear them under the music
- the sfx of the gate oppening is goofy and don't match the rest of the sound and ambiance of the game (except some dialogues)
Nice work overall, my main feedback would be, be sure to understand the ambiance of the game/gameplay to match the music and sfx to it
This rocks dude, well done
Nice gameplay, I really enjoyed it! My only suggestion would be to maybe pause or slow down the game when the player is reading a sign. While I was messing around with the turbo, I accidentally sped past a few signs and missed some of the instructions.
Other than that, really nice job, especially with the world and overall atmosphere! 🦆
I really like the feeling of sliding down on the board that this game gives you. The black hole almost stole my board, but thankfully, it was only almost ^^
The controls are a bit janky somethimes but the gameplay is super fun, I keep trying to beat my highscore.
Love the game!
The environment is so big and its so fun to explore
Some things are a bit janky though, and the texts go so fast i get overwhelmed so quickly. And the dialogue is too small to see tbh i have no clue what most of them are talking about
But yea love the premise of this one!
