How does the game fit the theme?
You cant trust anyone in the dream, so youll have to hide from them. Otherwise they will capture you.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

It's great that you included a tutorial. It's a fun game idea, and the power-ups and upgrades really help keeping up the motivation. The only thing I would mention that dampened my enthusiasm a bit was the fact that you really couldn't tell when one of the faces would actually get you. If it was clearer when they actually would get you (like on actual contact), you'd have more knowledge about when to use an upgrade last second or not. Either way, very fun game!
Hands down the best tutorial on how to play what mechanics the game has that I have tried this jam!
The card description text sometime did blend into the black background but I learned what the cards did by trying so no major problem there.
As many before have said the art is wonderful and sound design is also very cozy. Lovely entry and looking forward if you continue this further!
Actually beautiful game! Really love how it looks, reminds me of a cozy version of some beksinski paintings. The snake/bird main character guy is adorable. Great job :)
Wow. Everything about the aesthetics of this game is perfect – the watercolor artstyle, the stepped "low FPS" animations, and even the rainy atmosphere all add to the dreamlike atmosphere you were aiming for. The music and sound effects are just as good, too.
All the tiny details in the mechanics and the level designs are well done.
I feel the theme is a bit of a stretch, but still better than not even attempting to tie it in somehow.
More people need to check out this entry! Congrats!
Genuinely terrifying sound effects. I really love the artstyle and gameplay loop, I would definitely play more of this!
Honestly very fun game, so many different mechanics and everything feels very smooth. The art is also very unique and gives a special vibe, and mixes well with the background music.
I will note that the freeze card says description not filled, which is I assume not intended.
Also it's hard to tell which walls allow you to walk behind them, and because they block your vision you can't tell where exactly you are and where the enemy is if it's behind it
Seriously high potential game, amazing job achieving all of that in such a short time :D
Really love the art style! The gameplay and puzzles feel really thought out too! Great work!
I really loved the art style and design of the game, as well as the atmosphere and the idea. Great job!
What a hidden gem that I found here! I really liked the gameplay loop and the vibes that the art passed. All the assets are well made.
I really enjoyed playing the game.
Congrats!
This game is stunning. I love the built in tutorial. The music is very reminiscent Atoms for Peace or something and never gets old. The art and the emotion of this game is incredible.. It's also really fun to play.. Really really good work on this, especially in just a week!! Congrats
Art of the game is is amazing, though for me the sound design simply steals the show. Still both of them are just really good.
The game itself is very polished and I like the tutorial a lot, with its little surprise xD (I have no idea how you found the time to make it)
I like the pattern of the enemies. It is much less obvious than anticipated though the last few levels could be playtested a bit better, as the enemies get stuck consistantly in this level.

But the game itself I liked a lot!
Good job!

meow
