How does the game fit the theme?
You make sure that demons you take in the elevator are really who they say they are

It took me a minute to figure out what to do, but after that I quite enjoyed it! Manually operating the machinery feels nice.
Nice game, easy to understand. Very unique idea for sure.
In the start I had a bit of a trouble on how to play but I found out by pressing buttons. Well done.
Pretty cool I like think its pretty unclear on what to do but after that its fun to play.
I really like the concept, but the UI was a bit all over the place. It was hard to distinguish what to do and where to go. Over all fun just a little under polished. Soon as I read hellevator my mind went to Terraria =)
The pixel art is pretty unbalanced on the resolution side, which looks pretty dang crunchy, unsure if that was the intent but it's very mixel-y. Gameplay wise I wish the elevator was a bit more intuitive, but the theming is super cool and I like the way hell is treated so mundanely, like you're just doing your job.
I think the idea here is really interesting. The tutorial isn't super clear and I had a hard time figuring out the controls. But once I got it it made more sense. It could use a little more polish but I like the ui of the Hellevator. Moving the lever left and right if pretty fun lol
Cool. I managed to deliver several demons to their desired level of hell.
Took me a while to figure out how to operate the elevator, specifically how to go up. I was unsuccessfully clicking on floor levels and the game wasn't responding. It made me question whether the game was actually working.
I eventually figured it out, then later realized there are up and down arrows on the lever. But I feel like that should happen in the opposite order. Meaning the pixel arrows, especially in full screen, were not clear.
Clunky controls in general are not inherently bad. The controls in this game did grow on me, and I think they contribute to feeling like you're actually operating the hellevator, which is a good thing.
Thanks a lot for giving me some feedback! some type of tutorial is necessary, but I couldn't fit in the time to do that. If I do work on it some more later then I would add a tutorial and make the controls abit easier to use.
Fun game once you get the hang of it.
I will say, the instruction screen could use some clarity. Maybe use text instead of hand drawing it. Also some of the art is not very defined. I was looking at "david ingram" who is supposed to play guitar and be shirtless. Well i could see him holding something, probably a guitar but couldn't make whether he was wearing a shirt or a scarf. So visuals could use some clarity.
Yeah the title screen was made last minute and that's when I realized I didn't have a tutorial. I do need to improve art skills. this was my first 2d project and my first time using asprite. I was worried someone was going to get confused with the character sprites. Thank you for giving me feedback!
Honestly. Pretty good for a first project! Keep it up!
I didn't trust the elevator-goers.
has to Play in full screen
