Cool little push-your-luck idea, I liked the whole "stay for more treasure or bail before the curse gets you" thing. The suspicious crew setup is fun too, and the art has a nice weird charm... I was a bit confused by the win/end stuff, but for a first jam this is a super solid start :)
Great job submitting to your first jam! It's easy to start a project, but much harder to see it through.
Definitely wish there was a little more mechanically than just gambling but it's a cute premise with some nice art! The random 3d gem is really entertaining whenever it pops up, a very fun tone shift lol
So its like... gambling 3:)
This is a fun design, pretty much just testing your luck every round! I really enjoyed the visuals and the sound design! Great work here! :)
Thank you! Yup, I find "push your luck" to be a really simple and satisfying mechanic
This was a fun way to combine a press-your-luck game with the theme of the jam. Great job for your first game jam! There's a lot you could do to build this out further, and this is a great start.
Much appreciated!
The character design reminds me of the Playmobil figures from my childhood! For a first game jam, it's actually pretty impressive. I won by escaping at the right moment, though I admit I'm not entirely sure what the success criteria are.
Thanks for your comment! You're supposed to be able to win by having the most money compared to NPCs by the end of round 3 but it wasn't clear within the game itself.
I’m not sure I super understood what was happening when I played but I do think it’s pretty impressive that this is your first jam and that you did everything from the programming to the visuals to the audio solo! I also like that Jack Black is there 😆. Congratulations!
Thank you! Glad you caught the Jack Black reference 😆
It seemed a little buggy but I liked the visuals and the ambient sounds.
Definitely buggy haha. Thanks for your feedback!
Not bad for a first jam, great job! You have a really nice drawing style. I earned 400 money, but I couldn't get past the third round, I was immediately betrayed
Thanks! Yeah the end game/win conditions are bugged, but glad you got to play for a bit
this is a spectacular first time game, couldnt have done better myself. I reallly want you to finish it :)
You're too kind lol. Thank you though! I'm fixing the bugs right now and finishing what I couldn't in the time limit
Very nice, I liked the visuals and the premise of the game. I think it fit the theme really well, nice first game jam game!
Thank you! I ran out of time but learned a lot.
Its simple but fun the visuals looks so unique and great but the game play needs some work
Thanks I appreciate it! Yeah the gameplay is bugged out and unfinished lol but I want to keep working on it past this jam.
