Description
Entry for Ost composing jam 9. Theme was "Forgotten World" and the genre is melancholic and has a runtime of 3 minutes and 23 seconds. Made in FL studio, the thought process was somewhat challenging overall because for me at least making a soundtrack this long was a difficult task. When looking for inspirations i looked at World of Goo soundtrack since in my criteria it really fits the vibe of a Forgotten World especially the track "Jelly". Overall was a really fun and challenging experience and i hope you like the final result!

I feel like you achieved the atmosphere you were going for, so nice job with that! It could definitely work as a backing track in a game, although the only thing maybe getting in the way of that for me is that it feels like the piano and other meliodic parts play at quite loud and "forceful" dynamics (especially middle and end of the piece). A softer approach might blend in more in the background of the hypothetical game, but could just be my own preference!

This evokes the melancholy in Shadow of the Colossus and Ico. Great job. The only feedback I have is that the really high notes in the last half of the piece are too punchy.

Nice work! I think you’ve done really well conveying a sense of melancholy and intrigue, and I definitely hear the World of Goo inspirations. The synths in particular contribute to this pretty well. Certainly, there is room to improve this track; some parts feel a little bit overpowering and make a bit of audio tearing, so maybe adjusting some volumes here and there can help with that. It also felt a little bit repetitive at times, perhaps introducing a different instrument or more distinct set of melodies can help mix things up. But overall well done!

I think the bass is really good in this song. it is deep and atmospheric. Sometimes it feels like the melodic instrument is playing too similar of rhythms and notes throughout I think. It's a bit hard to explain but it sticks out as an instrument and because of that it's more noticeable when it feels like it's playing the same rhythms and notes.

The best part is when it's the piano alone as it feels like it's mixed more effectively.

Love the vibes. I know how hard it is to make a track long without making it repetetive, but I think you achieved it. : ]
