Retro fixed-screen arcade shooter made with Pyxel. Keep firing and the cannon overheats — mind the gauge.

Spectacular, entertaining, and addictive—and when it's like that, it's great!

Thanks, DANI! Really glad you're enjoying it. 🚀

good classic arcade fun with a tinge of bullet hell inside.

my only complaints:

  • the base player bullets are a bit thin/not quite visible enough against the black background.
  • save our high scores between sessions (cookies); better yet: online leaderboard :)

thanks for sharing!

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! I'm really glad the classic arcade feel came through.

The thin bullets were a deliberate choice for the retro look, but I can see how they might get lost against the black background. I'll definitely keep readability in mind for future games. Saving high scores is a bit tricky for me in Pyxel, but I'd like to give it another try someday!

I also played Sky Guardian — the art, sound, and music are fantastic. The clouds immediately reminded me of TwinBee, which I've always loved. Really enjoyed it. Great work!

It looks great, the protective shield didn't last long, very good game

Thanks for playing! One-hit shield is intentional — retro rules. Glad you liked it! 🚀
