I composed 2 tracks, one for the main village theme and the other for a local festival moment. I thought they could be used for an RPG

A very fun entry; I like your approach and melody design.
I really like your handling of percussion; you have good rhythms and a knack for choosing percussive textures. However, I would like to point out that at times the percussion sounds louder than the melody (especially in the main theme), which can be a bit distracting.
I must say I didn't expect the presence of more modern instruments, but that’s a minor detail and certainly not a drawback.
By the way, I hadn't seen that photo you chose for your cover since I was a teenager. Brings back good memories of forums and role-playing groups, haha
One has to question when creativity really takes off from great recycling of ideas. That is, one can still compose baroque music today as Bach did, and maybe there even is someone out there composing even better baroque music than he did. But it is still baroque, as good as it may be. Now, for some strange reason, the blend you made between a background atmospheric pad sound and the clear, over-layered child-like theme played by that piccolo or flute of sorts, feels strange and new at the same time. Naturally I didn’t hear all the music in the world and there might be already some experimenting like this, but I just wanted to praise you for your two tracks. Keep going :)
Festival dance was fun and fast. I liked the melody a lot. Really the only issue with the tracks is that the instruments used aren't of the highest quality. They feel very flat and dry causing the music to feel empty. It's a mixing thing, but also just a VST quality thing. You've got some great melodies, so some great plugins would be a good way to drastically improve your sound without needing a bunch of technical knowledge.
I think your tracks fit the scenarios you set up for them. They had good energy, sounds like you were having fun! I think if you could incorporate the ornamentation of specific instruments it could go a long way into making your songs sound even more lively. Like the string instrument in the Village Theme getting some slides, hammer ons, or pulls at the right times. I enjoyed listening, thanks for sharing.

Cheerful and whimsical, what's not to like? Just be careful with some of the melodies clashing with the chord sequence, like the guitar countermelody in the village theme, think there's a minor 9th with a B in the chord and C in the melody. Otherwise very enjoyable listen!

I love the main melodies of these songs! These are very strong thematically have easily immersed me in your world and conveyed your concept. Definitely strong compositionally here. I would've loved to see you follow the jam theme more closely, but regardless, I love how these came out!
Personally, when I first looked at the image, I thought of a similiar mood, it might be off-topic for the text theme but I don't feel I went off-track regarding the image itself. By the way I'm glad you liked it and found it immersive enough to picture the world😁
Love the sense of whimsy in the first track, as well as the mix of instrument choices. Nice groove going in the second track, I wish it was more than just the loop! I would also love to hear you explore some more complex harmonic and melodic ideas. Good job!
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I would have liked to experiment a bit more with other melodic patterns too, but I would have needed more time, I started the second song about two days before the deadline XD
