I had some lag later in the game, you might want to check that out. Otherwise cool and simple incremental game, easy to get into and hard to separate from one. I wasn't sure what fairies are for, did they give extra gold or should I have avoided them? Anyway I'm free now, I paid my debt.

Developer

Thanks! For the lag, it's possible that the web version can't handle too many entities and calculations at the same time :(

I have a love-hate relationship with incremental games: the steady dopamine hits keep me completely hooked, but on the flip side, it often ends up feeling like the same old loop.

That said, I really like how the traitor mechanic injects a genuinely fresh perspective into the genre! Great twist.

Thanks!

This game was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed the upgrade system and the progression throughout the game. I ended up getting all the upgrades and executing one of the minions. If I had one critique  its that I wish that it just leaned into the theme a tiny bit more.

Developer

Thanks! Yes, my plan was to merge the theme better, but the lack of time made me change my plan :(
But I'm happy to hear you liked it!

I'm not too much into clicker games myself but it's a somewhat interesting take on it and I enjoyed it. I only wished the endless mode made it so upgrades were unlocked to get to a truly ridiculous scale but I guess I could see that getting hard on hardware. It was really fun. Although I feel like the trust no one part was simply bolted on I thought it was executed very well with the intel stuff. I also thought the progression was very smooth in this game. Overall very good. Give my game a shot if you get the chance.

Edit: One other thing I thought of, it would be nice to have it just automatically click instead of having to hold click each round.

Developer

Thanks, I really appreciate your comment, and I'm glad you like my game!

Very fun game, I could honestly see this being developed further into a longer game with multiple "worlds"  and maybe even the minions spawning in to help or spawning things to help you for the run (like a bomb or a temporary click speed increase).

If you can I would advise putting the music sound player in a "Global" scene so that it doesn't stop playing when the run ends, or at least it would allow you to fade it out/switch to another song during the screen change. As well as maybe adding a random "pitch" to the hit sound to make it slightly less repetitive.

Thanks a lot, really good feedback, and I'm glad you liked it!

Enjoyed the gameplay loop, simple and effective. Good job

Developer

Thanks!

Very satisfying game,  i like how the upgrade works (simple but effective). I had issues with the screen, the coins and timer where cut off, but it wasn't a major problem. The music is engaging and the system of minions was pretty cool!

Pretty addictive loop... click, earn coins, upgrade and suddenly you’re way more invested than expected :D I also like the traitor idea with the minion bonus, fits the theme nicely and gives you something extra to watch out for. Fun concept overall and the progression feels pretty satisfying.

Developer

Thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoy the game!

Really fun game! I just love all games with such upgrade paths :D I played it all the way to the end.
I also really liked the general artwork/design.

Some feedback for possible future improvements:
- It would be nice to have the income effect of the minions visualized better. Only after the run when I read the description again did I notice how much money they must have gotten me. During the game I wasn't sure.
- The minions didn't seem to impact the regular gameplay except for the extra income. It seems like two parallel mechanics. Incorporating the minions into the regular gameplay more would be nice.
- The fairy was a bit underwhelming for me personally. I didn't even notice them at first, which I guess is the goal, because she should be hard to find for the money she gives, but I had hoped more for a big and hard enemy for the late game.

All in all great work, especially considering you did it solo! I really enjoyed it

Developer

Thanks so much! This feedback is really useful, and I'm glad you liked the game! I'm planning to add more things at the end of the jam!

Great job with the art firstly!

I think the gun shots were a bit loud for a game that seems to be abit more chill and relaxed. Game didn't really grab me unfortunately. I'm  not sure if my money was ever stolen - maybe I didn't notice it or maybe it hadn't happened yet. I also realised most of the time I didn't realise a run was about to end cos I wasn't looking at the timer, perhaps if that was visualised in a better way that would have been less surprising when the run ends. I do like the idea of how the theme is incorporated! Overall good work!

Developer

Thanks! I got you, and yes, you're right; it needs some polish in the numbers and a better explanation. The money is stolen only when you have 2+ minions in your group. I will change a few things at the end of the jam, and these comments are super useful. Thanks again!
