How does the game fit the theme?
COUNTED [TRUST NO ONE] explores the theme through an authoritarian narrative centered around quotas, tallies, and systemic deception:
The Narrative & Core Premise:
"Every citizen counts."
You play as Unit 9, a Directorate Enforcer deployed to Sector 9 to investigate and purge a ration ledger discrepancy.
The Conflict:
As you navigate the sector, you discover the physical tally was deliberately falsified to starve workers while the Directorate's official broadcast claims all quotas are met.
Branching Outcomes Based on What You Do With the Tally: The gameplay mechanics and moral choices revolve around evidence leverage and counting.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Engine & Framework:
Built on CyberVGA, our custom in-house software rasterizer and fixed-point engine (Win64 / DOS Mode X) developed by Burak Yazar (Novus Idea), including the SMIX Sound Blaster audio mixer, fixed-point math library, and physics collision routines.
Character Models & Rigs:
Base voxel character meshes were adapted from the Voxel Dystopian Pack by Max Parata, rigged via Mixamo, and rendered into 8-directional sprite sheets.
Tooling:
Map layout generation and CMS mesh exporting utilize custom Python scripts run within Blender.
Original Work Made for the Jam:
All game gameplay logic, level designs (Barracks Hub, Ration Block, Generator Core), UI/HUD, story writing, dialogue, and original title soundtrack (MAINOF.wav) were created during the jam.

Just played and rated your game!
I really liked the art style and it's similarity to the game"Doom" .
It's overall pretty good maze fps game!
Cool game! Reminds me a ton of the old DOOM/Wolfenstein games. Thanks for sharing this on stream.
Super fun FPS maze shooter!!! I think the 3D pixel art style looks really polished and gives the game a very distinctive atmosphere!
I especially liked the combination of the maze-like environment and shooting. Exploring the area while not knowing what might be waiting around the next corner made the whole experience feel tense and exciting XD
The background music also fits the visuals really well! It gives you this constant feeling that something is about to happen, which works perfectly with the atmosphere of the game.
I’d love to see more levels and environments if you continue developing it! I think there’s a lot more you could do with this concept, and it would be really fun to explore more complicated mazes with new challenges. Great work!!! :D
Omg it's a pleasure to hear this from you. We wanted to create Wolfenstein-like narrative shooter which fits the concept :) Thanks again for kind words and welcoming attitude! If you have time, you can also check our in-house game engine CyberVGA :) Hope to see more from you as well!
This was a really cool and interesting idea. It was fun to see a the art style you chose since I haven't seen any "DOS/DOOM" styled games! I would recommend working on the messages at the top, I feel like I would routinely miss the radio messages because they were at the top of the screen so maybe at the bottom would be better? Anyways great job!!
Hey thank you for your feedback, we'll definitely look into it. It's nice to see someone who likes DOOM :D
If you're interested in retro game dev, you can also check our in-house framework/SDK CyberVGA :)
If its not already, a web export feature would be killer!
Yes it will be available after the jam, thanks for your feedback!

Thank you, if you have time you can take a look at our in-house game engine CyberVGAas well :)
Overall Game looks good sticked to the theme point.Suggested to upload the game in WebGl version
I liked the style, sort of lethal company shaders. The UI was a bit bugged. It was fun to shoot the guards and traverse the map. Good Job!
Thank you for playing and kind words. This game is built on our in-house engine/framework CyberVGA, if you’re interested in retro game development we offer free SDK.
I escaped via the service tunnel. But on my way I had a few bugs:
Other than that, I wasn't really knowing which areas are connected to others. There was no visual clue, but it teleported me then to another area. That was weird. I thought I would never find a way, but I did somehow.
While the audio, art, and gameplay is kept like old doom, the theme was not really present for me. Also I am not a fan of that old school style, as it is hard to read and causes eye strains, but that is not your fault here.
Love it! Really cool take on a Doom-like.
Nice game, keep it up!
Thanks!
Great game please rate my game
Thanks, sure will do!
Really nice first person shooting game. Felt very polished! Had a good time playing it!
Thank you for rating and kind words!
Cool game! I didnt really get what was goin on. The font is not very legible. First run I loose because was followed and hitted by a cop, second one I realiced I can shot back and end up in the van and the credits roll.I think the atmosphere, sprites and sound is really cool!
Thank you for your kind words and feedback.

Thank you!

I faced a bug where I couldn't open the door and was stuck alone in a room. I didn't get to play a lot before that but from what little I have played I'll say the music was great and I got a little jump scare from the lady which was very fitting. Good job! (If you have time, please play and rate our game too)
Thank you for trying and your kind comments about Counted. We've fixed as much as we can till last update due. Try again some time. :) (Of course we'll try your submission too. ;) )
