Just played and rated your game!
It was actually fun to play, the visuals were good. 3d models could be a bit better and also the controls.
Overall loved the game!
thank you!
I like the controls a lot - except for the behaviour when you touch walls. A capsule collider or something else with smooth edges would really help here I think.
I'm old enough for this to be nostalgic. I was reminded of battle modes in old DOS games. Really nice feel on the movement and the perspective is really evocative to me.
The 'move the plank' was really not obvious until I reread the description, so I spent some time confused in stage 1.
Overall, great job, fun game!
Oh and the audio: I really like the ambient track, it fit the vibe awesomely. The laser SFX though were a bit grating and probably too loud.
thank you for the feedback! Yeah the wall-touching thing is a bug. You are the second person to get reminded of old DOS games lmao I dont even know waht that means lol I'm a youngster. And ooh yeah I should have made my menu description much clearer. Thank you for playing!
Great job! I was super confused at first but I actually kind of liked the dual keyboard controls for movement and camera idk. It was cool!
thank you! How'd you like the story?
This game was fun. I wasn't a huge fan of the last 3 levels because they were REALLY DIFFICULT but I do think it was well designed. The only problem I have is that the camera moved when you were next to a wall or enemy and that got really annoying. Good job though!
thanks for the feedback!
i liked this game a lot! the gameplay is fun, i don't get why people say this is hard, it's pretty easy. the only problem for me is the camera controls since when you bump into a wall it moves the camera a lot, and the fact that almost every level in the beginning is a bit repetitive. still very well made, especially for only one person!
thank you!
The game looks absolutely gorgeous with its fresh, vibrant colors, yet it manages to be deceptively challenging to solve and master. With a little more polish to make the 3D models a bit smoother, the visuals will fully match the great gameplay. Well done!
thank you!
Cool game! It wasn't easy, but it was a lot of fun.
thank you!
As the person before me said, This is a tough game but also fun. I did figure out the camera controls with the arrow keys but i took some getting used to.
It is a fun game. I love the shooting sound effect and the bullets themselves also look cool.
nice work :)
thank you person!
Okay this is a tough game
I don't like the camera control it's hard when I consistently kept getting rotated by walls.
Also might be skill issue but the virus bullets kept interfering my shots and it's so painful killing all of them T_T
But overall this is a pretty nice game
Not bad!
thanks for the reply!! You can actually rotate using arrow keys
good game man i got tricked in level 2 to 3
Ha thanks!
Nice start for your first game on itch! Just some constructive criticism - I wasn't sure if the movement was buggy but strafing the whole time made it difficult for a game whose main mechanics is combat. I then discovered that if I hug the wall a certain way, it would rotate my player, but it seemed more random than something I could replicate consistently, so I ended up just moving against a wall whenever I needed to turn and hoped for the best. Also because the projectile spawns behind the character, if I'm backed against the wall, the wall collides with the projectile, negating it.
Edit: I just read that you can rotate with arrow keys... ok that actually makes the gameplay MUCH better! The tank controls actually felt nice (I didn't need to use up or down since the map is pretty level).
Thank you for the feedback!
