How does the game fit the theme?
You have to decide at the gate if someone is trustworthy or not... depending on what they say.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Almost all of the art assets were from RPG in a box's asset library

chill game, it was pretty easy to tell who can get in or out! it was a bit too easy but you can easily turn this into more if you wanted. rated. It was cool to see different combat types. nice game, rated.
The concept is definitely interesting, though I'll admit I wasn't entirely sure what I was doing even after playing through to the end. The goblin 'boss' turned it into an SRPG for a brief moment and then I walked out of the fight and the game ended? I guess? I'm not sure if that was intentional. The gatekeeper shtick fits the jam theme well though.
I really like the idea of this RPG. The game feels pretty fast-paced, but that's because enemies don't wait for their turn to attack. I actually really liked that making the game feel faster
Very nice!
I like that you implemented the fight system too.
I also like the art and the UI is really good, very smooth.
I got some people multiple times, and at first i thought they were bad, shapeshifter of smth.
I had fun overall!
I enjoyed playing your game, it was quite fun to play and decided who enters the castle and who does not. Some problems I found:
1: In the players house the door, bed, and barrel have no collisions so the player can walk right through them.
2: On occasions I had the same person appear 2-3 times in a row, which threw me off quite a bit.
Overall though I enjoyed the experience, I really like the voxel art style and I loved the music. The music gave off legend of zelda vibes (which made me feel like I was going on an epic adventure/trying to keep a great evil away from the kingdom).
Really enjoyed the fantasy setting of this one! The concept fits the theme well. The only issue I had was that I ran into the same person a few times in a row.
I rated your game. This is my game if you want to try: https://sepehrmohammady.itch.io/awake
Solid concept of using the gate to find out if they're trustworthy enough to enter. I have gotten a few choices wrong but I did reach the credits screen after picking a favorite color upon reaching the TNT placed by the goblin. The artwork and music are superb overall.
I fixed it now it should say if you lost or not, if you would like to play again... pro tip ~ pressing ~ <that button opens the command menu, do exec disable_tnt, to continue where you left off ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~< that button
