The Biggest Challenge
The biggest challenge was using AI to build and iteratively refine a complete 3D browser game while keeping all systems connected and functional.
Instead of using AI only for isolated assets or code snippets, I used it throughout the development process: designing gameplay systems, generating and modifying code, debugging complex interactions, improving performance, designing boss attacks, creating visual effects, and refining the presentation based on actual gameplay problems.
A particularly challenging part was developing the Pepper boss battle. AI was used to experiment with different attack concepts, including rolling attacks, capsaicin sprays, large-area mist attacks, warning systems, jump-based dodging, cinematic camera effects, and hit reactions. The development became an iterative process where I tested the game, identified problems, and used AI to diagnose and rewrite individual systems without rebuilding the entire project from scratch.
The most interesting aspect was treating AI almost like a game-development partner rather than a one-time code generator. The game evolved through repeated human testing and AI-assisted debugging, balancing, design, and implementation.
AI Tools Used
ChatGPT,Claude and tripo ai
Areas Where AI Was Used
ChatGPT — Used extensively for game programming, Three.js development, debugging, optimization, gameplay design, UI/localization, iteration, and development planning. Image generation AI — Used for visual concept development and reference creation for game assets and effects. AI-assisted audio generation — Used for creating and designing game sound effects and boss battle audio concepts. The project was developed through a combination of AI-generated code, AI-assisted asset creation, AI-assisted sound design, and extensive human testing and iteration.

Ever since this was submitted, I've been looking at the thumbnail and thinking, "That curry looks delicious," but I never imagined it would turn out to be a stage where I'd find myself dancing around like crazy! This is an awesome idea. It's a fun game♪
I thought it would be nice if the camera automatically tracked my movements with the mouse without having to hold down the left button… As long as I'm playing, there doesn't seem to be any reason to limit it to only when the button is pressed. I think just implementing this would make it possible to move around much more quickly.
It's amazing that this supports 10 languages. I don't often see Jam Games that support so many languages.
It was a wonderful experience. Oh, and now I'm suddenly really craving curry with lots of whole potatoes chunked in it. 😋
Very silly! I love it! That being said, I do think that having the attack and avoid mechanics in separate phases isn't doing you any favors. Having both at the same time would force players to go into the thick of it rather than hiding on the sidelines. It would also allow good players to get through the early levels faster, auto-scaling the difficulty to the player.
The world was completely unexpected based on the thumbnail, which made it super cool!
That said, since it's a bullet-hell style dodging game, I personally think it’d be even more fun if we could attack—it'd feel more responsive that way. I did eventually figure out that being in the green zone triggers an attack, though!
Also, the audio and the whole world concept—like walking on top of curry rice—are awesome. Sorry I couldn't make it all the way to the boss!
Sorry about that—we're going to add difficulty settings, including an easy mode, in the next update.
This was unnecessarily epic, and it made me laugh! Definitely my kind of game.
It's such a brilliant and innovative 3D game where the stage itself is made of curry! The controls are super intuitive, and it delivers a great mix of impact and pure fun.
Fun game! I got stuck at the pepper, couldn't really tell why I died - I feel like from a balance perspective giving a slower / easier onboarding would be useful. But I loved the creativity!
WOW I was not expecting that!! This is fun and SO unique. It kind of reminded me of Drunken Robot Pornography except I was the one being shot at. I think this could be polished up with some time and be genuinely perfect.
It was such a fun experience enjoying an epic, dynamic battle right on top of a curry!
I absolutely love it. I never imagined a day would come where I’d be standing atop a curry dish battling french fries—I’ll probably never forget it.
The first-person perspective is incredibly impactful, the difficulty is perfectly balanced, and it is just so much fun.
The one-hit-kill mechanic during the fight against the chili pepper was a bit punishing, so I’d love to see some character upgrade features added.
I’m really looking forward to seeing what kind of enemies appear in future updates!
