Very cool entry, great job team!! Polished in pretty much every aspect

I'm going to have nightmares about these panels...
Well done!

Developer

Thank you :) ! I hope you won't lol

Hi !

You made quite a complete game in such a short time, well done !

I like the multiple-puzzles system and using time and mistakes as a threat work well with the theme. I had fun until I died after 6 rounds x)

Just one thought: I'm autistic and all the loud, unpleasant noises when threat rises hurt my ears a lot (so now I'm crying, meh). I would have displayed a warning about this and added a box to toggle and deactivate annoying sounds for people they can annoy/hurt. But that's very specific to my disability so I understand people who don't share this sensibility don't think about it spontaneously ;)

Developer (2 edits) (+2)

We wanted to add a flash warning in an intro (and many more stuff) but sadly didn't have time to finish it, game was already getting ambitious for the time we had :(

For the sounds, yeah, game itself can be little overwhelming (which kind of actually matches the theme, you're supposed to feel the imminent doom and anxious, but of course, that doesn't make the accessibility issue any less important, and I'm really sorry the sounds were painful for you)

but I wish we had the time to implement separate SFX audio volume slider, even though it was planned, we only ended up having BGM audio slider in the settings as of right now, but we'll definitely implement it

My accessibility tip would be probably to lower general main audio volime slider, and set BGM audio volume slider more higher (?)

But overall thank you so much for a nice constructive feedback and nice words, we appreciate it :) <3

Hey, thank you for the reply !

No worries about the sound thing. I told you because it hurt, and if you want to learn about accessibility I think it's interesting to learn that. My accessibility is far from perfect too, as I don't know everyone's disabilities.

I just think when there are generally visual/audio/sensitive effects that can disturb people, it's like having contents with possibly trigger topics (like abuse, suicide or others) - warning the players upfront enables them to be ready for what's in the game and choose if they want to play it, and eventually customize settings in a way that's appropriate for them. I don't set the audio settings in the same way if I know there will be loud/painful sounds as I would set them in a game that has average sound effects and music.

The same goes for contrasts or flashes with epileptic people for instance, or for avoiding/skipping certain games of part of games for traumatized people.

But again, apart from that your game is very good as is ;)

Thank you so much :)

Drove me nuts, which is the clear intention. Super cool, very, very polished.

Developer

Thanks !

Absolutely loved this.

Enraged the hell out of me but in the best way, and the tutorial, was really helpful.

A lot of care and attention clearly went into the presentation and player onboarding/user experience on this.

Really grateful for the the quick reminder button, that saved my bacon a few times.

Cool take on the theme, and nice progression of difficulty too.

Brilliant job!

Heyyy LemonHatGames, thank you so much for nice words, we appreciate it!

I'm glad you liked the reminder buttons

Very cool management sim! each panel is cool.
Difficulty was honestly about right (although the cube mini game was a little harder compared to everything else)
The atmosphere and setting also fit a lot (especially that black out at certain points) great art/sound design overall!

Very good game!

Developer

Hello globbertot, I agree that the cube mini game is a harder one haha, but I had fun making that one :)

I am glad you liked the atmosphere and black out. Thank you so much for nice words!

So cool! Love the ascetic, every panel is unique and thoughtful while the art matches well, tying everything together. Feels very complete and on theme. Micromanaging everything was difficult but I think that added to the fun! Not to mention, additional screenshots and a full gameplay video?! Don't see such effort in most game jam games. Great job.

Hey Wrinkly Brain Studios,

I am glad you had fun, thank you so much for nice words

Incredible. It's like 12 Wariowares at once. It got kind of stressful once the third set of panels started acting up but I can imagine it was intentional. Great stuff!

Developer

Thank you so much!

It was super fun, we loved trying to be constantly busy, and the explanations on the tiny ? were genius, it was a lot of information but you chopped it up just right, awesome work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!!

Submitted(+1)

Okay, wow, this is extremely fun and right on the spot for the theme! Very clean design, very clear communication. The second panel caught me off guard though, a tiny bit of a break and explaination would have been great there. Overall probably the strongest entry I have seen thus far.

Keep up the good work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed!

Love when the lights go out lol. It's great that the minigames are simple enough to get right away. I think difficulty settings and/or run modifiers would be a cool addition to the game. Just based on mechanics you already have, there could be a no lights modifier that permanently disables the light, or an all panels unlocked modifier so that returning players can skip the early phase. I'd love to see this game have an ending or perhaps be added to an expanded universe where you get up from your desk between rounds or something like that.

On my first run I survived 12 rounds and solved 39 panels in 'Minor Inconvenience' 馃敟

Developer(+2)

Really glad you enjoyed it! Also great suggestions, we'll definitely note them down

Submitted(+1)

Game is expertly designed, stopped at around 29 because it got too easy, I would recommend a significantly faster difficulty curve, or a potential ending to the game. Other than that, the visuals are awesome, the music is exceptional, and the idea is a unique blend of themes I love. Awesome Job!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you!  I'm so glad you enjoyed it, thank you for very useful feedback

Submitted(+1)

Really good atmosphere.
I stopped playing at round 6 or 7 because the minigames were turning repetitive for me and board 3 wasn't unlocking.
I think you nailed the difficulty level.

Developer(+1)

Hahaha Board 3 unlocks at Round 11

Thanks

Pretty layout, will note the tutorial text went by faster than i could read it. would have been nice if it waited for an input to continue

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, appreciate it :)

Submitted(+1)

Wow this was fun! Pacing was really good, the difficulty ramped up really well, and I really felt the tension. Great work!

Developer

Thank you so much :)

This game seems like "kkep talking and nobody explode" without the second player. Thanks for this little gem.

Developer(+1)

Your entry is spiritual twin to ours, I'm glad you liked it :)

Submitted(+1)

Amazing game! Stressful at some points, though lol. Really well done. I loved how polished everything was, felt like a fully released game rather than something from a jam.

Developer(+1)

Thanks !!

Submitted(+1)

Really cool atmosphere and vibe, looks really good. Wish the text in the tutorial would proceed on click as some of it went by a little quick

Developer

Good feedback, I agree it was little bit rushed, thank you

Submitted(+1)

Crazy cool atmosphere! loved the audio

Developer

Thank you fradono <3
