Nice art and concept. I think you can improve it by improving the collisions and the plataform generating, but it's pretty fun to play! :D

Cool parkour style game. I got 114 score so I'm probably second highest.

Developer

Thanks for playing! πŸ˜„ Glad you enjoyed it! And yep, 114 puts you right up there — nice run! πŸ”₯

The core fantasy is instantly readable and streamable: lava rises, you climb, coins and high scores keep the loop going. Using a focused Craftpix character + dungeon tileset is also a clean jam approach — simple asset scope, full playable game. Visual Design is one of the stronger parts: cave platforms, stalactites, lava warning UI, and character animation all sell the danger well.

On theme (Ten / Celebrate / Level Up), I struggled more. The page explains Ten as β€œ10 buttons/options,” Celebrate as high scores, and Level Up as climbing higher. Climbing/high-score celebration is fine, but Ten feels stretched and Celebration/Level Up never become strongly readable systems beyond score chasing. Making Ten literal (10 floors, 10 lives, milestone every 10 coins, etc.) would help a lot.

Gameplay Experience is fun once you learn to read paths, but procedural spacing + head-bonk collisions often punish the climb fantasy itself. Since survival depends on upward flow, generation needs more guaranteed jumpable routes. Still a solid GDevelop submission with a clear hook and good presentation. Nice work, Vishwajeet!

Thank you so much for playing, streaming, and making a video about my game! πŸ˜„ I'm really glad you had fun and that you managed to get onto the leaderboard after learning to read the platform gaps. I really appreciate the detailed suggestions too, especially about the platform generation, head collisions, controls, and adding more variety. I'll definitely keep these in mind for future improvements. Thanks again for giving the game a chance!

The game visuals were a good point here. The lava flow looks really cool. And adding a high score table makes for fun competition.

got a high score of 183, which at the time of writing is the highest.

an engaging game! i think the highlight to me was your use of visual assets and the animations. i noticed through playing that the platforms have predetermined arrangements rather than being wholly procedural, which is an effective anti-softlock method. overall your execution of your idea was good.

however, i do think the game had room for improvement in a few areas. i think there is very little game juice/feel in particular; few sound effects were used (though the coin pickup sound is nice), and i didn't feel like the act of jumping and platforming was very engaging in and of itself, which prevented the game from being truly addictive to me. i think that, as the game's main focus, that could have used more emphasis. i note that this game was submitted nearly four days before the deadline - i think given the excess time you had, there was room for more polish in general.

i also think the difficulty could have been dynamic, as the lava appears to travel at the same speed throughout the entire game; i quickly moved upwards so that the lava was offscreen, and never saw it again until i decided to stop - in which i backtracked, then fell as the previous platforms had despawned, and i plummeted for a full two minutes before meeting the lava x) which gave me the impression i could've kept that run going for much longer.

regardless, as before the fundamentals of your idea are clear and quite well executed, and i'm sure this could become very engaging with a little more polish and freshness. well done!

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback and congrats for getting the highest score! I'm really glad you noticed the predetermined platform layouts — I designed them that way specifically to reduce the chance of softlocks. I also agree that the game could use more game feel and feedback, especially around jumping and platforming since that's the main focus. The point about the lava is also really useful; I hadn't considered that skilled players could get far enough ahead that it would stop being a meaningful threat. I'll definitely keep the dynamic difficulty, platforming feel, and overall freshness in mind for future improvements. Thanks again for taking the time to play and give such detailed feedback!

Got a high score of 107. I think the game needs something else to keep it fresh. but great job with the game. I Streamed your game, it starts at 31:00. Had fun! :D

Wow! Congrats on the first rank on leaderboard! You actually beat my score of 66. Great! Thanks for streaming and playing my game!

Cool game! It's nice that you animated the coins in addition to the character.

I'm curious about the platforms - are they procedurally placed? It seems the main challenge is that they are often way too close to each other and the character keeps colliding with them.

For example - there is just no way to advance from this hight.

Platformers need a lot of tuning to strike the balance of difficulty. Good luck!

Hello! Thanks for trying my game and for the detailed feedback! The platforms aren't fully procedurally generated; they follow specific placement rules and layouts. I've playtested the different routes quite a lot, and there is intended to be a way through each section. In the situation you showed, the route is actually as shown in the image. But I can definitely understand how the tight platform spacing and precise jumps can make some sections feel unfair or difficult to read. I'll keep this in mind for future improvements. Thanks again!

My platformer skill issue had never been tested this much before LMAO. God I SUCK! I keep bumping my head all over the place. It's cool that you have to read ahead since some spots are too narrow to jump through!

Developer

Hello! Glad the game managed to test your platforming skills! πŸ˜‚ Thanks for playing! And yes, reading ahead is an important part of the game since some routes require you to plan your next jump before committing.
please rate it as well!

Interactive menu was lovely! Never seen one like that before!

I think sometimes the random generation could really mess with you and get you stuck, and the controls felt a little hard to master at times. But overall a fun idea that overall works well! Nice job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! I agree that the platform layouts can be challenging, especially when the spaces get tighter. The layouts follow specific rules rather than being completely random, but I understand how some combinations can feel unfair from the player's perspective. I'll definitely keep the platform spacing and controls in mind for future improvements! Also thanks for the compliment on menu!

Submitted(+1)

Overall, I like the idea, but damn, is it hard :D Incorporating the menu into the world was a great idea, so the player can familiarize themselves with the controls beforehand

Developer (1 edit)

I am glad you liked it! And yes, it is slightly hard as players should feel the challenge instead of getting bored!

Thanks for the compliment! Your game is also great! like i played it for ~15 min without break and still not bored. Great job!

From a game design perspective, I think there was still room to do more with the time available. The idea itself is really simple and something we’ve seen plenty of times before, but it’s still executed really well. Especially the interactive menu, where you actually have to jump from platform to platform yourself, is just a genius idea.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! I will definitely try to think something more in this! Can you give some ideas?
