I really loved the visual style . The palette works incredibly well, and the very minimal art still feels full of small details and gives the world a really strong atmosphere.

I did miss having sound, though, and from what I played most of the interaction was just exploring and reading. I would have enjoyed having a few more things to actually do along the way.

I didn’t reach the end, so maybe there’s more later on, but visually this really stood out to me.

Thank you for playing! I didn't expect so many people to enjoy my simple designer art! There aren't any interactions in the game besides exploring and reading. I like the purity of that, but I can definitely understand people wanting more actions. I was originally going to have a shovel for digging up buried treasure, but I realized the puzzles I was most excited about didn't need it at all!

I love the color palette and the art design! Just add some music and SFX to the game, and it could become something really great!

Developer

Thanks! Music is definitely on the top of the list of things to add!

Zelda Inspired puzzle game. I got only two items. One from the camel camp and the other from the snake camp. the last two I can't find it at this point. maybe I will return later to this game

Thank you for playing! It's looking like the Heron Crown is harder to find than intended. Sorry about that! Let me know if you pick it up again!

Very impressive as a solo project! I honestly found myself loving screen transitions and moving in general a lot! The world feels very Gameboy Zelda in the best ways! Great job!

Developer(+1)

Gameboy Zelda was a definite inspiration! Thank you for playing!

This is really nice! You’ve built a great world. Unfortunately, the game lacks music and sound effects. I think it would be even better with audio! Keep up the great work!

Developer

Yes, sorry about the lack of audio. It's just me working on this, and building the world needed all of my attention! Thank you for playing!

Color palette and story telling are awesome. Great game!

Developer

Thank you! I hope you liked the puzzles!

Great sense of place, the obelisk at the empty throne sets up the whole quest in a few short lines, and the half buried road and broken wagon make the desert feel like it has a history. nice job

Developer

Thank you for playing! It makes me happy to see so many people liking the setting.

The sense of setting is fantastic! I'll admit I'm a bit stuck finding the Herons, but I hope I can come back and reach the end!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! DM on Discord if you'd like a hint! The Herons are sneaky. Feedback like this is great because it helps me figure out which puzzles and clues still need fine-tuning.

I think you did a fantastic job creating such a unique puzzle game and i love the side scrolling fantastic job with writing keep it up

Again, an excellent puzzle game with great mysteries that kept me hooked for hours. A lot of the little clues hidden everywhere help to find most of the crowns, with one of them being way trickier to get :)
It's a shame there is no sound, but solodeving is already hard work!
The storytelling at work here is amazing, and I wished to know more about this little world. Congratulations!

Developer

Thanks! I'm so happy to hear that the storytelling is successful. This little world seemed to emerge all on its own over the last week!

Loved how you done the screen transfer like Zelda from back in the day, it really set the mood for "this is a Gameboy game". Lack of music but I get it for sure, working alone is rough. Great submission to the GBJAM 14!

Thanks! LoZ Link's Awakening DX was one of my favorite games growing up. It left a big impression on me!
