How does your game meet GBJam's theme
The game play itself has you discover the mechanic which is to interact with the nimbo clouds. The nimbo clouds are ominous storm clouds placed by night owls that allow you to take a glimpse of the path ahead of you and use your own memory to follow them. Allowing you to get closer to the night. Night owls placed these clouds to see if any worthy clouds are venterous to see the limits of their flight. Like laid out crumbs You are one of these clouds curious to follow them.
Old gold is introduced from the first scene. Mom cloud warns Osho to not get any of his “crazy ideas “ again, other sun cloud people warn him to stop going to dangerous places. We are shown that Osho is someone who was born curious, born to test the norm. Despite his environment, he seeks something else than being just a waterboy. The mechanic of not being able to see the path ahead of you because its not created and is only something you can see and no one else is part of it. Part of how it feels to follow a path no one else does. The gold that he finds is something in himself that has always been there since he was born. The obnoxious curiosity and rebelliousness to discover the unknown and feared. Thus the theme Old gold.

A nice short game, and great theme especially in times like these where everybody judges and don't take time to understand. I'd say people who liked Celeste would've breezed through the gameplay; but in this case the wall jump didn't quite stick all the time. Great job nonetheless!
Thank you for thouroughly playing it to understand. Yes the wall jump was my weakness I will work on that skill.
Loved the day/night mechanics, using memory brain power to traverse the clouds. For some reason I couldnt figure out how to wall jump so the big wall of clouds I couldnt get passed. All in all well made.
Thank you, yes to wall jump you have to get wall jump from the npc and wall jump is weird in my game because its about timing while being close to the wall. I did have a hard time implementing wall jump but I will work on it.
Sometimes the gameplay ends up being too hard, the game should have been nerfed, maybe increase the jump height...
I thought about that but I think it was because I played Celeste and in Celeste I can't even pass the first level. And I am not good at gaming haha. I guess I was like maybe I shouldn't underestimate these players if I can figure it out then they can. But usually if the game is good enough or world is good enough you would do the most to figure it out. I guess thats what I was testing
The vibe is very dreamlike. I love the use of color. I haven't tried PICO-8 yet but this makes me want to soon. I saw the commenter on the public page talk about wall jump, that's about as far as I got myself. The physics and state management for these nice platformer tricks can be really challenging. As a player, platforming from memory is also challenging, but the mysterious and beautiful world motivates me to try.
Thank you for playing! I hope it wasn't because you weren't able to wall jump or the wall jump was too confusing. or was it more because of difficulty
It felt like it would inconsistently grab, but it's hard to say without seeing the wall. I'll give it another go after I get some sleep.
oh no worries at all and dont feel like you have to please, just wondering! Thank you
The music is beautiful! I loved how it evolved over the course of the game. I'm so jealous of devs that can do everything themselves! The contrast between day and night was lovely, and the way they affected gameplay was very cool. Great job!
Wow thank you for playing it through to see the music change thanks!
Nice palette, pink and amber is a bold call and it reads clean. teaching move then interact then jump right where each is needed is smart, and letting moms note play out while you walk instead of stopping you. good job
