this game is so charming. i ran into a few bugs but this is your first time using gbstudio, i know how tough it can be to make the engine work sometimes haha. really good job tbh. the artstyle in this is so good

btw it bugged out for my when i saved in the mine after getting the pickax and i had to restart, maybe check if you can fix that :)

edit: unfortunately i always get stuck somewhere or get random game overs in the mine that i can't figure out. would love to play again once you've done some bug fixes!

The art is great, and the town kinda makes me want to play the finalized game.

Always cool to have actual Game Boy ROMs! congrats on that part.
The game looks promising even in its unfinished state. I know the pain that I can be to produce code that can run on the hardware so every bit of working gameplay is actually impressive on its own!

I found the game's art style nice. I encountered a bug where the rocks would kill me when I got close, and I couldn't progress much. Aside from that, I think it's a good game with some things that need polishing.

I played it on the gameboy! Hitting the rocks was a little hard and they kept killing me. Love the little scenes you made with the npcs!

I can imagine this on the actual GameBoy, good job on the "GameBoy Soul"! Sad you didn't finish it, from what I've played it was quite fun, there were some bugs that made it annoying, but it is understandable. Good luck if you decide to continue with this project!

Feels super authentic to the game boy. Some really nice graphics and I love the shopkeeper sprites
