Cool twist on Tetris! The pieces would often move faster than I was hoping for, it took a few tries particularly when I had just one square to plug. A bit slower movement would've probably helped a bit. I enjoyed it quite a lot though! Well done!

Heavy on the originality score! Concept is very fun and unique interpretation of the theme, I love also good pixel art, intro sequence is awesome

i love the pixelart and fun idea tetris in reverse! great jobb

The concept is very cool as a Tetris twist. Liked how the narrative was integrated too. Good job!

Great concept and I like the artstyle

Really fun, loved the storytelling part and the overall vibe, amazing job!

Love the alternative twist on Tetris, and the art style, use of theme.

The HR/comedic tone was great fun, esp. the playing solitaire.

Really enjoyable and polished.

Great job!

This is a VERY cool concept and the use of tetris is really cool!
The manager blocks were honestly more helpful than dangerous for me at least as the main reason i was getting fired was mistakes while placing blocks.

This is probably a skill issue but difficulty was little too much though (like the tutorial was very easy but after it started of hard from the start instead of getting harder as you cleared sections)

Overall great submission!

This was some good hilarious fun

Very fun twist on Tetris! Unironically I almost liked the addition of the manager blocks because that made it easier to get rid of blocks I'd accidentally placed while trying to rotate them. If only avoiding layoffs was this easy...

thanks for the feedback, we were hoping there could be a positive way to use the manager pieces too. Glad you enjoyed!

I really love this entry. I have an office job, and I felt the imminent doom more than in most of the other games I’ve played from this jam because the dread of having a meeting take time away from your day for no reason is real.

I protect my calendar harder than almost anything else in my daily life.

This was a fun twist on Tetris that taps into one of the more annoying things about an office job: the same boss that complains you’re not getting enough done will also fill your calendar with unproductive meetings.

I’m also always looking for good game ideas that translate office life into a video game, and this does that really well.

I LOVED this entry, the design was very clean and I thought the sound effect when moving the block was very satisfying. I love tetris as well so I really enjoyed the the difficulty of the gameplay. Plus the redline gave everything a super tense feel. Great work!

BAHAHAHAH I also want to make anti-work games <3

I already laughed when I read your game's presentation. I love it ! I know it's "just" Tetris decorated with lore but it does the trick for me - and connects with the game's plot of playing while at work + managing time-table.

Also, everything works well. The only thing I'd change would be adding a music loop or playlist. But I get it the blank sound might be the stress and boredom from work and it does add tension to the game so it may just be me looking for an idea to give at least one piece of advice that may not be needed ^^

Thanks for the fun, I showed it to my (currently burnt-out) husband and it made him smile too.

Really funny approach! The game mechanic itself is really fun, but I wish there was a way to remove already-placed blocks, or at least, make it so that blocks move a little slower. Sensitivity of the arrow keys feels way too high, and it feels very "buttery" right now.

In any case, I laughed out loud when I realized what the game was about, so congrats and thank you!!

Cool concept, pretty hard but in a good way. Needs a button to speed up the line or reset if you block off the rest of the board lol

Developer

There's a reset button in the pause menu, but otherwise I'm not sure we found a satisfying way to prevent placement mistakes from shutting you out of the game sometimes. Thanks for the feedback and for playing!

Really fun little game, gave me flashbacks to my old job! Controls were a little sensitive

Submitted(+2)

This game is very tense with the line getting creeping closer. It feels a lot more visceral than a count down timer

Submitted(+2)

I enjoy the concept! Couldn't figure out how to rotate at first so kinda sucked but then after I got that done I had a lot of fun, good replayability
