Excellent visuals and sound effects! I got stuck in a cut scene unfortunately, where the character was stuck walking in one place.
Where exactly?
At the end of the game, the player can only move to the right—maybe that's what you're referring to?
It's just that I'm hearing about this for the first time after all the testing we've done.
Hmm, I had reached "3 years earlier" and mined a few more walls, then a cut scene started (I think?) and I lost control of the character that just kept going to the left. Might have been my browser acting out?
The message and atmosphere are great! I like the double meaning the limitation has in this game.
Really good story I really like the message about time it was a very cool good job.
Great narrative game, really cool art and message!
Amazing atmosphere and theme. The further you get, the darker it gets and the more you understand what it is about. The music and visuals and the rising difficulty really mad it immersive and motivated me to get to the end.
Awesome submission!
The art is really nice but except a simple QTE for the limitation or reference to time passing there is nothing more. The QTE is okay but at "1 year before" I was stuck repeating the same QTE for 5 mins with no feedbacks if it was the game stuck or because I missed some QTE, it stay a mistery.
There’s an interesting story behind this: I initially misread the game's title as "Time Is Everything," so I chose a narrative metaphor based on that and designed the controls to be like those in *Getting Over It*.
However, after realizing that implementing those controls would be difficult—and re-reading the constraints—we reworked the gameplay, which might be why it looks so simple.
I really enjoyed the presentation of this game! The art is beautiful, and the character animations, lighting, and mine environment create a really strong atmosphere. I also liked how the passage of time is incorporated into the experience, with the “Years Before” progression and the idea that time itself is important to what is happening. It makes the “Timing is Everything” limitation feel connected to both the gameplay and the story rather than simply being added on top. Some of the text and prompts could perhaps be a little easier to read, but overall this is a very stylish and memorable entry!
Визуал, саундизайн просто шик, удачи вам ребята!
This is awesome! Everything about this game is great - the way you used the theme, the visuals, and especially the sound design, which is just amazing. The idea is really cool, and the ending is interesting too, especially how well it makes use of the jam limitation. While playing and repeating the timings, you can honestly just sit there and enjoy the satisfying ringing sounds of the pickaxe hits and the fragile cracking of the crystals.
Anyway, guys or girls, keep it up. I believe in you! :)
The visual Art looks amazing
Amazing Art!
Very polished game and good visuals !
Amazing art. Took me soooooo long to do some of the things. I saw in one of your replies that its because it resets progress on miss. Could you pleaaaaaaase add an easy mode that doesn't reset on miss or makes the margins bigger lol
It would also be nice to have a way of showing progress. Like a progress bar or visual indicators like cracking in the wall (more cracks the higher the progress).
Sadly, I could not finish the game; from what I saw, it's an amazing game with very good visuals.
WOW this is pretty. Short and sweet, the platonic ideal of a game jam game.
i have a skill issue. i couldn't get past 1 year before, i spent like 15 minutes failing TAT
I must be terrible at timing because oh my god this took so long... Like I must be missing something because the first wall of the section would take like 100 hits and the next one would take 5!
Visual storytelling and art was really amazing obviously but I felt like I was going insane with him it took me like 20 minutes
I haven't run into that;
if you miss, your progress on breaking the wall resets—that might be the reason.
Nice concept, story and art.
Would have liked something more for the minigame but good work!
Great art and also cool story!
