Played a bit of it on my Pico 4 via PCVR (I couldn't get the standalone build to work, although it says "Quest" so it probably wasn't officially supported anyway).
I liked it, but I found it too challenging, I couldn't get past the Relay Graveyard. There are so many projectiles to dodge, and after a few attempts my arm started to hurt so I had to stop 😅
But I can tell this is a high quality game, it seems pretty polished. I appreciate the quality-of-life features for the game, and the way the ship adjusts to your preferred rest position. I also appreciate the health indicator on the ship, it's very diegetic, good design (kinda like Dead Space).
Thanks for trying my game! Sorry about the discomfort in you arm 😔
Loved that you hold the ship! It's like playing with a spaceship toy. Super fun! :-)
The art assets looked great, including the ship and the enemies. There's seemed to be a bit of a "twinkle" effect on the stars in the skybox, which looked nice.
Great job!
Thanks for playing my game!
Thanks for noting the star dilatation effect, the source code for that shader is in the source code zip too!
Nice job! I enjoyed controlling the ship, the drone variety, and the overall graphics.
I think it would be cool to have some sort of health gauge on the ship.
Thanks for testing my game! Thanks for the feedback! the ship health should have been more obvious.
Nice version of the hand spaceship bullet hell concept. though I think after playing it a while holding your hand up gets tiring. I think that maybe with some other control scheme like joysticks as 4DOF controls or like grabbing two 3dof joysticks and using head direction to aim, you could still make a fun 3rd person 3d bullet hell game that's not as fatiguing.
Thanks for playing my game!
You are right, I'm sorry if the game caused any discomfort. I think it would be cool to explore different ship controller mechanics for this, it could help with the game accesibility.
Really really fun game! 100% addicting!
Some really good wrist warm up, like actually, it forces you to do some crazy angles.

Thanks for playing my game! And thanks for the feedback!
Really fun! I really liked the game play. Great work.
Thanks for playing my game!
loved the game. really nice graphics, a bit too hard for me but loved the different enemies
Thanks for playing my game!
I liked the graphics and the effects. It reminded me of one of those mini games in the Lab. Really fun.
I love The Lab! The game is based in the Xortex minigame.
Thanks for trying my game!
Really nice graphics and particle effects, good tough game loop.
Thanks for playing my game!
Nice graphics and a good take on how to make a shmup in VR! Awesome effects too!
Bigger lasers earlier please!! ;)
Thanks. Very enjoyable!
Bigger laser! Noted 🫡
Thanks for trying my game!
Remy made it home. Was not expecting different enemy types, good variety.
Thanks for testing my game!
I recorded a video of me playing:
It was a fun little game. It was cool that you added the story elements between encounters. I allso like how well this was pollished, felt like a small finished game, well done on the scoping of the project. Thanks for playing! The video is very nice (and you are pretty good at the game!)
Great presentation overall! Clean and consistent graphics, well polished, simple controls and varied enemies! Difficulty curve is just a bit steep but nothing crazy. Awesome game, congrats!
Thank you! Thanks for testing my game!
I recorded my playthrough, unfortunately the mic dropped out.
Worked great natively on the steam frame, the performance tanked during the jump drive section but the rest was smooth.Game was fun! Good sound, good haptics. My brother likes bullet hells and VR so I'll point it his way.
I guess like all bullet hells you're supposed to look at your ship and dodge as first priority, aim and shoot secondary, but I found that much harder in VR with so many degrees of freedom and so much empty space between the enemies to cover.
Thanks for testing my game! And the video is great and insightful!
The apk works fine on my Quest 3.
Very nice bullet hell game, but it gets pretty hard pretty fast.
It is very nicely done, I like the details (laser effects, animated sky...).
Thanks for the feedback! In hindsight I should have made the difficulty progression smoother (sorry if that was unpleasant 🙇).
It is not unpleasant, it just feels like endgame pretty fast. ;)
I can confirm your windows build works with Windows 10 and a Samsung Odyssey+. I've never played Xortex so this is my first 3D bullet hell but I thought it was a lot of fun. I liked the different types of enemies but thought the games pacing was a bit fast. What I mean is that you go from a couple of bad guys to a full screen of lasers in only a couple of rounds. But, it was enjoyable to jump straight into some intense action so I guess its more of a observation than a critique. Overall it was fun, good job.
Thanks for testing my game!
I appreciate the difficulty feedback (and sorry if that caused an unpleasant experience 🙇), I'll keep that mind!
One stranded captain. One tiny spaceship. A lot of bullets.
Not Enough Fuel is a very small sci-fi VR bullet hell inspired by Xortex, Valve’s minigame from The Lab made for the Godot XR Game Jam from September 2026.
The game was tested on native Linux PCVR and a Quest 2 headset. The apk I hope should work on Quest 3/3S too. The Windows build is provided but was not tested. The Linux ARM64 build might work on the Steam Frame but is untested. The full godot project source code is also provided in the downloads.
