Nice idea, the gameplays is also interesting. Good job!

BRO, BUILDING YOUR OWN ROCKET JUST TO GET HOME IS SUCH A COOL IDEA! 🚀🪐🔥
I really like how directly the game connects the theme to the gameplay you're stranded on an asteroid, gathering resources, designing your own rocket, and then actually having to fly that creation back to Earth. The combination of resource collecting, modular rocket building, and physics-based flight gives the game a surprisingly deep feeling for a jam entry. The low-poly visuals and atmosphere also fit the space setting really nicely.
The rocket building and flying are definitely the standout ideas here. For improvement, I'd make the resource-collecting beam a little easier to control, especially when objects are at different depths, and add a clearer explanation/tutorial for the first flight. More visual effects during collecting and especially during rocket launch could also make those moments feel even more satisfying.
REALLY IMPRESSIVE TECHNICAL JAM ENTRY! 🚀🌍✨ 50 HOURS WELL SPENT — GOOD LUCK WITH THE JAM! 🎮🔥
Love the presentation. Wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about the 2D movement once I started working the tractor beam it really grew on me.
The sounds and visuals deliver a solid package. The gameplay needs a little more depth to it. The theme was on point.
Keep polishing. Solid submission!
Wow, this one really reminded me of Kerbal Space Program and a bit of Satisfactory, which I mean as a big compliment! :D
Gathering stuff on an asteroid and then actually building your own rocket to get home is such a cool idea and fits the theme perfectly imo. And the amount of content you packed into a jam game is just CRAZY... this could definitely become a real game! The collecting beam is a really cool mechanic, but steering it didn't feel quite intuitive to me, especially hitting stuff at the right depth . Maybe some kind of highlight on what you're currently targeting would help (Thats a minor, I am just bad at it)?
Some resources felt a bit rare compared to others (like Scrap), so the balancing isn't perfect yet, but honestly that's totally fine for the time. What bugged me a bit more was the flying part, because I kinda missed a "better" explanation on how to do it xD
Visually it's quite simple, but I personally love low poly assets, so that was a big plus for me! Some colors don't really match each other... maybe a more unified palette would make everything feel more like one piece. The music is simple too, but it fits. Since the design and the SFX already feel a bit cartoony, you could go even further in that direction and make it funnier, like silly background music :D All in all a really impressive entry, I hope you keep working on it and I am soo happy to see another game here made by you! :)
Good work, all the systems work as intended as far as I could see and the art is cohesive. I couldn't find my home planet though and I ended up in deep space without fuel lol
Good job!
Wow, such a great atmosphere! I honestly don’t have any real feedback because I already found it really enjoyable as it is. If anything, my only suggestion would be to turn it into an even more complete game and maybe release it on Steam or another platform. I’d definitely play it! :)
Great use of theme - I had to check yours out since we also made a space game about trying to get home haha.
This is super impressive - you managed to get a fully functional resource collecting & custom building system in under 10 days, just wow.
It feels fun and easy to play, with good sound design and nice visuals.
I didn't make it home, but I enjoyed crashing into earth at the speed of sound.
Amazing job. The atmosphere supported by the music is fascinating and its quite addictive to collect resources hahah.
This was really fun!Frustrating at times especially when i crash landed many times, but the satisfaction at the end made it all worth it! The collecting part was good fun, more like an incremental activity. Building the rocket had many nuances to it which was great thinking and design. When i realized that i could add many modules thats when the real fun started! And finally maneouvuring the rocket was the cherry on top! Great work all round :)

Building the rocket was easily the coolest part for me. Picking the parts and then actually trying to fly the thing home is such a fun idea 😂 Flying it feels good too and I liked messing around with the rocket design.
I actually like the simple style of the player model a lot. The space background looks great too. Some of the smaller stuff could use more work though. Especially the ore and scrap pieces. Maybe giving each resource a stronger shape or color and adding some particles when the tractor beam grabs them would make collecting stuff feel better.
My biggest problem was SCRAP 😭 At one point I had around 100 ore and like 2 or 3 scrap. Even after building the thing that helps collect resources I was still constantly missing scrap. I think it should spawn way more often or maybe there could be some way to turn ore into scrap. Right now ore is absolutely everywhere compared to it.
The effects and sounds were nice. Id probably add a bit more juice to the rocket though. Stronger engine effects or some dust and particles when taking off could look really cool.
Theme is probably a 5 for me. Making the way home something you literally have to build yourself is a really cool take on it.
Had a lot of fun with this one :)
Also if you have a minute check out my game too! A rating would be awesome and Id love some feedback as well :)
Likely among the best games when it comes to its theme.
I think the gameplay is overall pretty solid. Collecting resources, while not that fun/engaging, doesn't last too long, and everything in the game is pretty cheap when it comes to cost. I think collecting materials is a bit clunky however as they have variance in the Z axis, which make trying to suck up items feel pretty awkward if they too far toward or away from the camera. The rocket flight is definitely the highlight! Very smooth, and the physics were great! Changing up your rocket structure with different items, don't make a huge difference on its own, but add up together to make a surprising amount of an impact.
The games sound is alright. All the sound effects, despite there not being many of them, fit well, and are accurate. The music I think is a bit boring, and while it fits with the atmosphere, it doesn't really strike any amount of memorability and would be better suited as a kind of ambient track, rather than the main music.
Graphics are good. All the planets, and items look solid, and colors are pleasant. I think adding some particles or VFX to the individual items, or planet atmosphere would a lot to the immersion of the game. There isn't anything mouth dropping in the game when I look at it, but it is still pleasant to look at.
The theme is brilliant in my opinion. Nothing else to say.
Overall, Great technical showcase, and solid game entry!
Firstly- I just found out about strudel.cc, and it's pretty cool! Now, onto your game!
Gameplay wise the game consists of two parts. One is pure fun, the other is... well, less fun. Walking around the planet is not that engaging. There is no challenge to collecting crafting materials, so you mostly circle the planet, build a structure, then repeat it twice more. At that point you have enough stuff for building the rocket. This is where the fun begins. Building the rocket is cool. Flying it even cooler! Obviously I crashed the first one (cool touch with it falling into pieces), but with the updated design, and smarter navigation I landed just ok on my second try. Very cool experience!
Audio does it's part. Sound effects are sparse, but communicate everything pretty well. Music works for the atmosphere.
Graphics work, but could be better. I mean, at any point I could easily distinguish between the gameplay elements, but when you are on the planet they seem to lack style. Of course this doesn't bother me when I'm building the rocket (suddenly simple is good) and when I'm flying it (I'm only looking at the engine nozzles to judge my direction anyway).
Theme use is good! Fits well with the gameplay too!
Over all- it's almost like two games glued together, where one is visibly stronger than the other. The on-planet part drags down the great build-your-rocket-and-fly-it part a bit. Luckily, I tend to focus on the good!
Keep it up!
