How does your game meet GBJam's theme
A monk searches for gold to build a golden Buddha statue. Since this is an ancient tale, it represents "OLD GOLD."

Good job on your first game jam!
Most areas are strong, art, sound and programming, sadly it falls a bit short on the
game-play aspect. Walking around and pressing A on stationary stuff turns kinda
boring after a while. Think It would have been a little bit more fun if the villagers
gave clues on where the gold could be hidden rather than showing were to dig.
This game is neat with the exploration. But I think for each gold you collected that the player had to go back to the temple waiting 4 years each kind of putting time jumping bit too far for collecting each gold is bit too excessive for the game's plot. I think you could have put down 4 days later after collecting each gold so that the player doesn't wait every 4 years jump to make each time jumps too much. Maybe have all the gold collected will be jumping to a single 4 years instead of collecting every gold that causes the player to wait 4 years later too much. Imaging if the player had to grow very old when collecting all the pieces while waiting 4 years each after collecting one by one. That be too much time skipping. Also, you should add some music and sound effects in the game.
This was a neat game. The graphics were very nice, and the music was good, but I would have appreciated a second tune to break it up a bit (though I know there was only so much time!). It was a little frustrating to have to go back and forth so many times, but I can see a bit of zen to it. It might be nice to expand a little so there are some changes over time as you collect the gold and so much time passes!
It was really something to get a gold piece and then see "4 years later..."
I loved it! It was a complete experience, very well done! And nice job on finishing this in the jam time!
I really like the art style in this. The Buddha statue is a banger!
this game is soo nice. i really enjoyed the relaxing tunes and the autumnal visuals. great submission to the jam imo.
