You guys really nailed the presentation with this! Short and sweet and simple and effective. Love the collage art style and the radial doodles for the fire. Love the text effects "fighting" each other for control. Not much more to say than good job all round!

I went in blind without looking at the summary beyond 10-15 mins playtime (bless short games) and I had so much fun! The dialogues felt natural and the banter was funny (I must be babe XD). Gotta love a woman in STEM *nod nod*
Also all the text effects and color changes were really cool and added something to the story. The handwritten note was also a nice touch with the little snarky comments and the foreshadowing XD Really a lot of personality to this game, from the script to the art and animation.
Absolutely in love with the vibe and art style, I found myself just sitting a couple times looking at the scenes. Really enjoyed playing through this a few times to see the dialogue changes. Similar to another review below took me a moment to process what was going on at first in my first playthrough, but once I had that sorted, I fell in love with how everything was presented and tied together. Great experience!
The visual language was beautiful throughout. I really loved the collage style of animation and the effects of the fire. Boyfriend had a creepy eye.
This. Was. Incredible!!
When my first play-through ended I got a feeling I was missing something, so I played again. And when it hit me, what ACTUALLY happened that was absolutely marvelous experience. Incredible, INCREDIBLE work!
The visuals, the music, the choreography of them together with the narrative were delivered brilliantly. And the disappearing / shifting text is an icing on top.
Very well done!
i really liked the game. not talking too much about the really good visuals ( the other comments expressed what i think about it well enough) , the mix of photos and drawings did its thing. but what i want to mention is that by the end i thought " wait it's finished? i'd like to play more ". a game that leaves that kinf of feeling is surely a 10/10 in my opinion. good job!
Smartest ghost hunters I've ever seen
Very unique and well made project. You managed to tell the story perfectly without spelling the details out loud, amazing job!
Keep up the good work!
I must be babe.
Incredibly unique look to this great job. The realistic eyes unnerve me and yet I kind of like it. Wanted more by the end, do you plan for a sequel?
The art and sound design is sooo neat!! I love the integration of the real life eyeballs on our boyfriends sprite, it makes his design so eerie I looove it!! The photography mixed with the illustrated artstyle also blends really well so it's not jarring at all which is impressive! I had a little bit of a hard time with the story at first, but also knowing (insert spoiler here) it makes sense for there to be some confusion in the dialogue! I'd love to see a continuation of this at some point or another game in a similar artstyle, great work!
Thumbnail was a 10/10. Then I saw the screenshots and was like "oh wow". Playing the game I kept thinking THIS IS REALLY GOOD MUSIC and the mix of art styles is WILD. Loved what you both put together. Thanks for entering the jam.
