How does your game tie into the extra theme (optional)
When I think about roots, I think about trees reaching water. This game is, in a way, about their struggles. About reaching out and desperately trying on the way of growth.

Love your game. Love the puzzle. Is the game of this jam I spent more time playing.
Glad to hear that, thanks for playing!
I liked the overall 1-bit vibe of this game! The puzzles were a bit tough and we needed to keep resetting! Lol! Overall a nice and engaging game!
Thanks for playing the game! Hope it was a good brain exercise!
I really like puzzle games so playing through this one was fun. Usually in puzzle games like these, each series of levels starts with a puzzle mechanic in it's most basic form and then slowly escalates the difficulty. I feel like I had a little trouble figuring out the mechanics (e.g. how the enemies move) because I felt like the difficulty escalated a bit too quickly and the levels were pretty open ended from the beginning. But no worries, I made it through ^^ Managing a level was really satisfying and the visual style is on point! The interactions feel crunchy and tactile. Nice one!
Yes, my initial plan was to introduce the mechanics slowly, but I couldn’t quite achieve that. I thought I wouldn’t get in the echo chamber in 3 days, was I wrong! I worried that it would be too easy and thought I needed even harder levels, while adding a few in-between levels would do the trick. Knowing the answers to the puzzles really disturbs the perception of difficulty.
About the art, I’m not an artist by any means, so I picked the most basic one I could (two colors and low resolution) and mostly played my strengths, that is making spaghetti code.
Thanks for playing the game and the jam!
Really interesting mechanic. Personally I think a different music would have fitted the theme better.
I liked the visuals, the monochromatic aesthetics was refreshing
If you can specify the different music that you said I would like to consider this. Thanks for your comment!
Oh hi. Just wanted to let you know the music is really fitting to the aesthetic of the game IMHO. However what I meant is I think it would have felt more cozy (if that is something you want) if the music was a little slower, idk maybe something inspired by some of the slower tunes in Terarria's OST.
Loved your bass line :)
Very good use of minimal colors. Love the game concept, the execution, and the vibe. The game did ramp up in difficulty very hard. Very Fun!
Thank you for your time! It was meant to be hard, but not this much (Oops!). Glad you could enjoy the extra difficulty.
I absolutely loved the music, but as others mentioned it did drown out the cozy sound effects. I am also a fan of the overall look! Got stuck at level 6 "-_-
I'm glad you liked my music, even though I was really short on time.
This game is crazy good, I mean really really good. It looks and feels so fleshed out!
Thank you for the kind words, I’m glad you liked it!
This game is really good. I really liked the puzzle aspects of it and the 'enemies'. I got stuck on level 6, and I personally think the levels increase in difficulty too quickly. Some sound effects when moving would have been good, but overall, it's a great puzzle game!
Thank you for the feedback! Yes, the learning curve is steep and I should’ve catch that at the playtest phase with a more thorough one. I should also need to focus on the level design part more in general.
About the SFX’s; There are sound effects when moving, they’re really tactile and I like them very much. But I was too short on time while adding the music and I couldn’t realize it was too loud lol. So they’re basically suppressed by the music. What is odd is that overall volume on the web build is seem to be also very low (at least on my machine).
Of course, these are not excuses but more of a background information. I’ll try to learn from these mistakes. Again, thanks for the feedback and playing the game.
(Also, about the enemies, I planned the ones that case the player as parasites, but I found it too out of theme for a cozy jam so I never name them in the game, which looking back, I could’ve as well.)
Yeah, parasites would be cool, but it wouldn't make too much sense for the theme. Later, I'll check the game again to see if I can hear the sound effects.
What an outstanding game. I love the puzzle aspect of it and though my brain is fried from learning to code this was a fun little brain teaser to try and undo all those knots I'd done to it. A lovely game- I would absolutely put this on my phone to mess with during IRL downtime!
Thank you! I’m still considering the idea of making it a complete game since I’m relatively happy with the outcome (considering the time frame) and also curious about how it would turn out. Glad you liked it!
