Thanks everyone for checking out the game! Wanted to add a note post Jern Jam that the game has been updated with the freeze bug FIXED.

Really great entry.

So unique.

Fun to play, would love to see this fleshed out with more levels.

Loved the style

Such a cool idea for a puzzle game! I would love to have a full game of this where you walk through a whole gallery and unlock stuff hidden within the pieces. Fun little celebration at the end!

The song at the end really got me! It's so funny. Before I realised that the music was made by Zach Barret, I was picturing Justin screaming LOOOBSTEEER somewhere! It cracked me! Very well done singing the song, Zach! And I've learned that if you want to teach someone facts about lobsters, you should do it in a flirty voice!
This is such a refreshing entry, it gives me hope in humans. Thanks for making this guys <3

Just saying, I was streaming this, and this is the reception:
"This is something beyond my understanding of art. This game is free, but I already want to refund it!" - MrWhoMan
"This is art, yes. I want to create stuff like that." - Foolbox
"Peak art. We need this in VR." - db9dreamer
"Best crab game! LOOOOOBSTEREER!" -Seano4D
"Now I want to be a lobster to go pinch people!" - iRad

Justin DOES do that often. but for the game, the lobster screams were actually performed by the SAME woman who does lobster facts! thanks for playing and commenting (and no refunds sorry)

This is a very unique game and even art. This would be also an interesting way to experience art. I imagine this even in museums where you can interact with art pieces like this. I can see that you spent a lot of time on this. I do enjoy the lobster facts. I think it took me a few times to realise there was an actual game and was not just interacting with a painting though. Maybe adding a bit more clues if someone takes too long would be good.

I wasn't sure if I was playing a game or witnessing a fever dream! In a good way! Was fun to find the ending, but also I left a bit more disturbed than when I got here.

Froze a lot but was fun and really interesting to click and hear all the different sounds

Yeah we were rushing to "finish" this and didn't realize the web build had that freeze bug until after the deadline.  Should be updated on wednesday! Loved the voice lines in your game

This was great fun, love the art style, it felt very abstract indeed. The overall quality was lovely, from the curtain at the start onwards, clearly a lot of time has been spent polishing this one. Would love to see this one developed more with more wacky puzzles to solve and developing out the characters. Great fun.

Think this must get the award for the most unique game in the jam. I really love how you took a piece of artwork and made it interactive. The animations fit perfectly with the image and the sound effects really complement the experience. I don't think I have ever played anything like this before and I thank you for that so surely must be in contention for the innovation award. Excellent, firmly in my faves list.

Fun idea! Unfortunately the game kept freezing causing me to restart.

Interesting concept, the animations made with the artwork were really nicely done and the almost ASMR style lobster facts were on point. I got hit with the freeze bug a few times but after some experimentation I managed to get to rhythm and complete it.

I could not get past the key. The game would become unresponsive.I am on Mac and tried Safari, Chrome, and Vivaldi browsers and they all had the same issue. What I got through was interesting. Very cool art style and overall mood for the game.

I finished it (had to reload once), was a fun little experience. I enjoyed clicking around before the reload, and had almost solved it the first time so I got through fast the second time. I can see this being very difficult at the same time, if I hadn't thought to click... where the important things are.

Anyway, wasn't expecting a rhythm thing after, hah! Got through it on my first try (is there a loss condition? not sure, I did make some mistakes but mostly did okay).

Nice work on the project!

The art is onpoint but where are the lobstar facts :O?

The art is nice, so is the animation. The lobster facts are great. I have read a few comments, but I wasn't really able to progress. Maybe if you continue to develop it you could add some clues after some miss clicks? I enjoyed the vibe!

For me game froze always in few clicks and I wasn't able to progress in game :( But game idea looks nice, and very nice art and sounds.

Edit: played non crashing version in alternative location and that improved my ratings :)

Great Job! Loved the Artwork and sound. The idea of the game is great, i wasnt able to progress very far (I kept on running into the known but and freezing), but i will have to try progressing further later!

Ahh, fun fun. I think more than a few people will not think there's an actual game to play here because it's very hidden...  but I *do* agree that's part of the allure. Because that lobster _is_ alluring.  Lovely work. Very..  homely I wanna say? I'm not sure.. gives me vibes of being in another time. I like this a lot. Nicely done.
