Hello everyone, I am not working with Weird World in any official or unofficial capacity; however, I believe I need to address a serious accusation from some players and/or Discord users. Accusing others of being pedophiles using this link: https://forward.com/fast-forward/177880/half-naked-israeli-soldiers-share-racy-pics-on-fac/?gamp
This link is the source material in which these users have been claiming that some player/discord users have committed pedophilic acts, which are completely untrue and unfounded.
If you read the source (a news article posted by forward.com on June 3, 2013), it explicitly says:
“The teenage recruits were shown with their Israel Defense Forces fatigues stripped off, exposing their underwear and backside in one photo.
Another showed a group of five young women posing in a barracks, wearing only helmets and scant combat equipment.
The soldiers’ faces were blurred in the photos. They were said to be newly inducted soldiers at a base in Israel’s southern Negev desert.”
This excerpt is a little misleading because, under IDF regulations in 2013, they were of age (18 years old), and their being in basic training confirms they were at least 18. Their faces were blurred to protect their privacy and conceal their identities, not because they were minors, but because they were not committing a public offense and the IDF chose not to reveal their identities publicly.
Try searching “IDF minimum recruitment age in 2013” and see the results for yourself. I think they confused the recruitment age with the age at which they must report and register for enlistment, which is 16, but because this photo was taken during basic training, they were 18.
Another post from Aljazeera also confirms Forward’s news article: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2013/6/3/israeli-soldiers-reprimanded-for-racy-photos.
What is most concerning is that some Itch.io users started sending the names of the people whom they think are pedophiles, sending this picture to frame them as such:

This is extremely damaging to these people’s reputations. It also damages the game’s reputation, and it could lead Weird World to legally charge the people who posted this image because of the photo evidence and the number of people posting it.
After digging further into the situation, I found that at least one of the people they are confusing as a pedo is still in some school environment (Which I will not say who due to privacy reasons, but it is posted on their profile), and the other’s age is unknown. However, they both seem young based on when they joined Discord and the Superhuman server.
Here is the conversation unedited:

(Censored this line because Tom says the @ of the person responsible for accusing them of pedophilia and does not say anything else)

(End of explicit context).
Someone named “Josh” was accusing and harassing these people, and two spectators agreed that what “Josh” was saying did not make any sense, to the extent that someone called “Armored” was calling him crazy. A mod named “davianinyoface” said that he was “going to go clean” his eyes. So Josh must have said something so offensive and incorrect that they had to ban him from the server, which some people in the past claimed they did for calling these people pedos, but they left out what he said entirely (I do not know what he said explicitly). Then they worried he’d come back with an alt account.
I used three different browsers to confirm my findings (Chrome, Brave, and DuckDuck), which all agreed that they were at least 18 years old. I used Aljazeera and Forward (the news article that was originally sent) as my main sources, then expanded outward into the different browsers to find their age, then Ynet and Haaretz. I even asked the browsers’ AIs, which all agreed that they were, in fact, 18. This is what the AIs said when I asked: “Were the girls underage?” or “How old were the girls?” (Google flagged “Were the girls underage?”) with the original Forward post for context:
- Chrome (Gemini) - “How old were the girls?”:
The soldiers in the photos were 18 years old. - Haaretz
They were recruits undergoing basic training. In Israel, mandatory military service begins at age 18. Because they had reached the legal age of majority and enlistment, Israeli law considered them adults, not minors. - Aljazeera
- Brave Browser (Brave Leo) - “Were the girls underage?”:
No — they were legal adults, not children. The soldiers were newly inducted recruits at the standard Israeli conscription age of 18 (some sources note 17 or 18). The Forward article itself describes them as “teenage recruits,” and a former IDF censor quoted in Ynet put it plainly: “Youths serve when they are 18, and that is what 18-year-olds worldwide do.”
So while they were very young, they were not underage — 18 is the legal age for mandatory IDF service in Israel.
- DuckDuckGo (GPT-5.6 Luna) - “Were the girls underage?”:
The reports did not identify the soldiers’ exact ages. However, they described them as recruits, and Israeli military service generally begins at age 18, so they were most likely adults—not underage. The article does not provide enough information to confirm each individual’s age.
The AI is just for extra evidence, not my main sources. I believe the true age of consent is 21, even though I am still below that age due to this reason and the confusion. My main sources are listed below.

I hope this clears this up; again, the “teens” are adults who posted their half-naked bodies willingly to the public.
