How did you use AI?
OpenAI Codex assisted with game design, GDScript code, 30 individually authored puzzles, original vector artwork, procedural music and sound, testing, and exports. We built an offline puzzle solver to verify solutions, set achievable star targets, and detect impossible states for automatic recovery. AI assisted development; there is no live AI model in the gameplay

How does your game fit the restriction?
Every input moves Cat and Robot together. Their different abilities make the same direction affect each differently. Digging, pushing, collecting, and switches happen through movement. Level selection, retry, and progression also require walking through doors. Rocks advance with each input, and recovery is automatic.

I like the concept and I like how the boulder is moving only when you are moving, like time is stopped until you move.
But it is too hard for me. I got stuck at the second level.
Also I needed to install the game because the web version lags on my laptop. Installed version works fine.

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! I'm curious, what do you think would make the game easier? And did you find it challenging in a fun way, or more frustrating than enjoyable? I'm asking because I personally felt the gameplay got a bit repetitive, and I couldn't quite figure out how to improve that.

Also, since you mentioned the web version lagging, would you mind sharing your laptop specs? I'd love to look into what's causing it and see if I can improve the performance.

That was fun and challenging. I did a little vs with Codex/GPT 6.1 Sol. It won but it was fun to do.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah, I did the same with Codex while testing. It beat me by like 3000% and got all 3 stars on every level. I could barely get 2 stars on some levels, let alone 3

Good game design overall, but the levels got a little repetitive with the designs.  I never felt compelled to do the fewest number of steps so that might be why.  Here is my playthrough:

Developer

You're absolutely right, I felt the same way but couldn't quite figure out how to solve it. Most of my ideas ended up breaking the jam rules, so I actually made a few other games with them instead.

If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them. I was thinking about adding enemies or something along those lines to make things more interesting.

Thanks for the feedback and the video, hope you enjoyed the game at least a little :)

I learned a lot from making this game and playing what everyone else created. Hopefully next time I'll plan things better and come up with something even more interesting.

Then again, I might just keep improving this one, because why not? It's an AI game after all

How clever!! What a fun game design. Thoughtfully made, looks great, sounds great. Good job!

Developer

Thanks, really appreciate the kind words. Glad you enjoyed the design and the little details I put into it.

Brutally clever expansion of sokoban. Might be a little hardcore for anyone who isn't already familiar with the ideas, but for anyone who has played a lot of the genre this is very fun and interesting. I love how the obstacles make sense mechanically. Rock falls, robot needs battery, robot strong enough to push rock, all very logical and a-ha provoking.

Great game!

Developer

Thanks, really appreciate it. I actually based it on Boulder Dash, but added some of my own twists along the way, so it ended up being something a bit different. I love how everyone sees a little bit of a game they've played before in it.

Ahhhhh Boulder Dash, legendary. Now I have to learn all the history about how Boulder Dash and Sokoban came to be, and whether they're all just "pac man but different"

Thank you :P

Developer

You're welcome  now that's a rabbit hole worth going down!

I wonder how many classic games are really just Pac Man in disguise

Great game, well done! Fun puzzles, challenging to get more stars, nice work!

Developer

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. That was exactly the idea, I wanted the game to challenge players rather than hold their hand.
