The FOV seems very narrow. I'm sure it's faithful to the original but unfortunately for me it's a dealbreaker. Is it possible to implement a way to increase it or is that something that is technically impossible / too laborious? On a different note, thank you for your hard work.

You can make it as wide a FOV as you like by going windowed and stretching the window. The vertical FOV remains constant and the horizontal changes to match. Will that work for you?

Well that was quick =D No, the stretched window solution doesn't entice me all that much. Thank you for providing, however. As this is open source, I might try to take a stab at the problem myself (despite having no experience but hey, got to start somewhere and learning coding / modding has been on my to-do-list for years now). Do you think that it is doable?

Yes, absolutely. I'm not working on it anymore, but perhaps Massimo will be interested in taking a look.

The problem with tweaking it yourself (open Unity, open the Player prefab, and adjust the FOV in the Camera component) is that the open source data doesn't include some particle effects and textures.

I myself am very sensitive to narrow FOVs and anything less than 90° I can't play comfortably, but the game is already at least 90 and it seems perfectly playable to me. I'll check this when I have time, but the problem with using extreme FOVs is that it introduces rendering defects: cut-off objects (weapons for example) and distortions.
Have you tried playing for an hour or so to see if you'd get used to it?

Is it really 90? I guess it could be that. My understanding is that you can represent and calculate FOV in many different ways so... Sure, I could give it a go for an hour and hope it doesn't give me a headache.

It's 60 degrees vertical and 16x9, so about 100 degrees horizontal.
